I love the smell at the movies, but not at home or at work. We actually are not allowed to have a microwave here for that reason. We are in the "Executive Suite", and it cannot smell like popcorn. I actually like the idea. But, I cant bring anything to heat up for lunch.

last week the nursery school in my building was making popcorn and they burned it and it set off the fire alarm and the building smelled sooo bad for the rest of the day....
but in general, i like the smell, unless it's very overwhelming.

I love the popcorn smell but like others when it is burnt no way. I had a resident at my nursing home who's family not only burned it but set off the fire alarms and we had the fire dept there for hours. The place smelled like it for days. needless to say no more pop corn

Apparently my boss feels the same way. He recently sent out a memo stating that if popcorn or any other offensive food was made in the microwave it would be taken away
