Why oh why are contractors so expensive?????????
We have a tiny kitchen 8x6 and a tiny bathroom and yet, nuts to bolts it will run us 40,000. Does this seem normal? I am not even buying high end materials (except for granite and that is not even that expensive!) UGH!!!!!

no way, that is a really high quote, we had an entire great room 21'X21' and it cost us $40 grand, get another estimate. Tht included real oak floors, 6 huge windows (7 feet high) and a big half moon wondow, french doors, etc.

I agree its WAY too high!! We spent about 40K and got an entirely new living room, dining room, kitchen, central air, bay window, raised ceilings, new sheetrock, crown mouldings, upgraded electric....more but you get the idea...

My gf just did work for $25000 kithcen and bathroom
She interviewed so many contractors cause they were so crazy with their prices
