WOW! This storm was BAAAAAAAAD!!!!!!
OMG...I just had the biggest scare. I was sitting here playing a game on yahoo during the really bad thunderstorm and all of a sudden I saw a bolt right in front of my face and heard a frying sound. I got bumped offline and everything on my screen went black! First off I thought my computer was fried! I couldnt get back online for the longest..I thought it all died! What a scare. We shut down and when the storm was over we restarted, all seems to be ok thank goodness! OMG the horror if I lost my internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im in Astoria, Queens...we got it bad here today! There are trees down all over, my moms courtyard got hit lightening too! CRAZY!
Last night we went to bayville and glen cove looked a wreck! They claim a small tornado hit certain areas, there were messes all over the place..Ive never seen anything like it! This weather is insane!

Yeah, this is really scary!!! We had one really close bolt of lightening and a really loud crash of thunder - I screamed!!!

still pretty sunny here on the south shore...... but the dogs hear the thunder coming... they are both shaking like crazy...

I am in Astoria- was out @ a bridal shower during the 1st storm today but now its CRAZY over here- thunder and lightening like mad!

We had a blackout for about 3 hours tonight .. and the storm was so bad we had to keep the windows shut. We left and went to Barnes & Noble for some airconditiong!

starting here...some thunder..not so bad, but DOWNPOURS for like 5 minutes..I think we are only getting a "little" of it...
I am grateful for the wind though!

Honestly, I feel like I live in Kansas or Nebraska- my lights went out for a sec. and the ligtening hit right by our house

It just happened again! It's either from the lightening or from everyone using so much electricity with the ACs going so much. I just made sure I had a flashlight handy.
