THANK YOU! I need to get on this- I loathe anything paperwork related, and my payroll sec is a lovely woman but has a gajillion things to do so this will be a big help.

I'm taking the 6 weeks paid.. and then will go into the 30 day grace period where they will pay you a percentage of your pay...

  how will the 6 weeks be paid?  do you have 6 weeks of sick days in your CAR to use up?  because if not, i think the 6 weeks is unpaid.
  i'm still trying to figure all this out, so if you know something i don't, please let me know!!  my payroll secretary is very limited in her knowledge and is making me nervous about getting the right info.

Yes, the 6 weeks is paid only if you have days in your CAR.  How many days do you have in your bank?
  You can borrow up to 20 days, but I hear they are a PITA to pay back. If you have exhausted these days before your baby is 6 weeks then you can go on a 30 day grace period where you get paid for weekend and holidays.
