 When two friends are arguing
Do you stay far away? Do you try to smooth it over?

Re: When two friends are arguing
I try to listen to both sides without going back and forth between the two.

I listen but don't get too involved so I don't hurt anyones feelings.

Re: When two friends are arguing
If I feel that one of them is right, I do tend to take that person's side. I should probably stay out of it, but I get so mad if it is me in the argument, and the other person knows I am right and doesn't step in.

Me too but I try not to even listen because it may give the impression of bias on either side. I don't want to get wrapped up in the he said/she said stuff anymore.

Re: When two friends are arguing
I'll listen to both viewpoints, but I won't get in the middle and I definitely won't take sides.

Re: When two friends are arguing
In our group, I am usually the one that gets dragged into the middle for some reason so I am in the position to smooth things over.

i can see that....but the person should know that they are hearing ONE SIDE of the story.....
AND even though someone is venting...they should KEEP that to themselves....jumping in on something you only know ONE SIDE of...is ignorant
