i believe it is a one bedroom apt, with living room dining room combo, kitchen and bathroom.

It means there is a small 4th room--in the ones I saw it was usually a dining room that could be used as an office or small bedroom.

I used to live in one- it's a large one bedroom- with a dining room- and nicer layout then a typical 1 bedroom with the living room dining room combo
now I live in a regular 1 bedroom- it's fine- but I liked the layout of the Junior 4 better

this is right. jr 4's are pre-war construction and that 2nd bedroom is usually MUCH smaller and is usually off the kitchen, that's why most people use it as a dining room. HTH!
