what is always messy in your house
my linen closet is always a disgrace. DH will take something out things fall out and he just shoves it in closing the door quickly

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh///no matter what I do....I can never find the right cover and its always a mess....litke little gremlins get in there and mess it up at night?!!

Mine was the same until I changed it to a deep drawer at the bottom of the cabinet. Now I stack like-shaped items, and all the lids stack sideways in a large rectangular tupperware I rarely use. It's soooo much easier to pull out the drawer and look down at what I need, instead of digging around in a dark closet.
For me, it's controlling the magazine / paper clutter. I keep a lot of my craft magazines and I just don't have that stuff organized. My desk is always getting cluttered. It's an ongoing battle that I'm determined to win!

I have 3 little kids so...everything (<---not laughing as a joke, Im serious)
But winner of the always messy spot - the kitchen island. There's always clutter on there. I'd like to think my DH & I would keep it neater if we didnt have small kids but who knows

What we call "the nook". It's a high table where we put our mail, keys, pocketbook, wallet, loose change... You can never see the surface.

for tupperware lids I use this from the container store, I swear that my lids have never been messy since ( - and with a toddler!):
I have it in a pull out in one of my cabinets, but before the kitchen was redone, it was in a drawer.
they also have this that can attach to a wall if you don't have too many
ETA: My messy part of my house is our coat closet which doubles as a pantry

My whole house. Every room is a mess! I just can't keep up. It doesn't help that we are doing a lot of work every where too, so there's always some king of "consatruction debris."

No, not having small kids wouldn't keep it neat. We are childless and the island is ALWAYS a mess. All the bills go there, all the papers, all the transient things that need to find a home. I hate it!
