Yes, because it is my first and only pregnancy since it's twins, we did IVF and I'm 36.
We need to plan a gender neutral nursery, all girl or all boy.
WE will find out in November but we won't be telling anyone, it's just to help pick names, which we also aren't revealing until the birth.

I did not find out [officially] with my first. By accident, I read how to "tell" based on heartrate...and without even trying, I knew based on her heartrate--it was too extreme to NOT be a girl. With this baby, I don't want to know either and I am taking precautions...not letting them tell me the heartrate! It's one of the most beautiful things in life, you create a life...and while usually I despise surprises, this is one that I am willing to wait 9 months for.

Theresa- we're going to tell people the gender (I will register for bedding, so people will know, plus, I CANNOT keep a secret for the life of me.  ) But we're going to keep the names to ourselves too.

Oh my GOD! We SO are. I am too nutty not to. I am already counting down the time (December 1st is the big day!)
Someone was trying to tell DH it was like knowing your Christmas present before you get it. I guess DH forgets that I used to find and open my Christmas presents as a kid!
So, my short answer is yes!

We don't want to know - it takes away the excitement. My SIL just had a baby in Sept and we knew when she was having it (c-section) and what it was going to be. It was like no big deal that day - just the unknown of weight & height! It was kind of a let down. We like the fun of not knowing and the anticipation of the one true surprise in our lifetime! I guess we're old fashioned!

We found out and I am so happy we did. I figured it will be a surprise at 20 weeks, and at 40 weeks - we just got it sooner and still don't know what she looks like! We love referring to her by her name and as a she. I feel like we are really bonding with her.
