the supermarket plastic bags? b/c if thats what you meant, then yes, I reuse them.

if its the plastic food baggies, like the ziploc ones, then YUK, no I don't!!

I'm sorry that's just NASTY. Those things are meant to be disposable. If you want to save money, use a real towel or a tupperware. Eugh!

I'll sometimes re-use ziploc bags...

1. I wrap meat in foil and then put it in a ziploc to store in the freezer. But when I defrost I just take the meat out and will sometimes reuse the ziploc for the same type of meat when I go shopping next time.

2. I put ice cubes in those big ziplocs and reuse it as I make ice.

For those two, I reuse them a once, maybe twice and then toss it.


I also use and reuse a lot of ziplocs for scrapbooking. They are perfect for keeping embellishments, paper scraps, etc. I also swap things with other scrappers and it's an easy way to protect the item from water damage. Since it's not for food, to me it's the same as an envie and is a non issue.

That's different! If it's non-fd or if it's the same stuff or ice cubes. But I can't imagine like, putting food in it, washing it out, and then putting more food in it

I only re-use the ziploc baggies for the dog's dry kibble if I go to someone's house and bring his dinner.

I re-use them to cover the pets food cans. The plastic can covers don't fit on the right way, so when I open a new can, a baggie goes on top when it goes back on the fridge. Yes, I re-use those on the next pet food can because I'm not using new ones every day when all they do is cover the pet food can.

Yup...afraid that my mother and grandmother did that. My grandmother was also a big fan of saving the paper towels if it wasn't dirty.

I guess they're very old school!

I reuse them if I put something dry in them.

Like when I bring some bread or a bagel into work for breakfast- and I know the bag really isn't dirty- I bring it home and put my breakfast in for the next day.

But something wet, no.

i don't think i've ever re-used a ziploc bag...just never saw the need and i'm way to lazy and don't have that much foresight to see that i may need it again....plus mom buys them so its no $$ out of my pocket

I re-use them for a snack (like crackers or cookies) and maybe in the freezer. But I don't reuse them for when it comes to actually holding food! Yuck!
BTW, on the paper towel subject...what is with people who wash things with paper towels and then leave them in the sink. I can't tell you how many people at work do this and it grosses me out! What do we have sponges for?!

I reuse them ALL THE TIME! Never thought there was anything wrong with it until this post If its dirty I throw it out, but if its clean it gets re-used.
