I agree, I had a nice meal there. Not a place to go to all the time but it would have been fun to take my son.
I don't think the whole chain is gone though, I could swear I've seen it somewhere in my travels...  (of course that doesn't help you on LI)
ETA: ok I looked it up, I saw it at Disney in the Animal Kingdom.
Theres one in Edison, NJ

I've only been once and it was so long ago...and it was somewhere in Suffern, NY...for a bday party.
I think that location is still there...in case anyone wants to go...

I think the one you are thinking of was in W. Nyack in the Palisades Mall and that one is gone too

Ok, I remember another one thats still open...it's in San Francisco!

Yea- the one in the source mall has been gone for awhile..
I went a few years back in Disney-
But my DH has never been- and we were just talking about thing to do this weekend- and I wouildve loved to take DS and DH there!

I actually thought the food at the Rainforest Cafe was really good ...!
Last September DH & I went up to Niagara Falls and we ate at a Rainforest Cafe.. DH had never been to one and he thought it was kinda cute.. and the food was yummy ..

Don't be too upset. The food is gross. I used to really like the Rainforest Cafe at the Source Mall. Now I live near the one in NJ at Menlo Park Mall and they really have taken a turn for the worse. They changed the menu and the food is terrible! When DS gets a little older I'll proably go back anyway since I think it's fun for kids.

LOVE the Rainforest Cafe. Just went about a month ago in Fl.
It's cheesy, but I love it, and they have the best Mai Tais!
ETA: I love the food. Their veggie burgers and plant sandwiches are awesome!
