 Couples trip suggestions
A group of our friends are looking to go away, locally, this summer. No kids. We want something with a pool or a beach and lots of bars. Could be a resort or a town or a hotel in a cool town and isn't going to cost a ton. We looked into Saratoga and it's crazy expensive. We just want a fun, quick and easy getaway. We are all disbursed through the tri-state area and Mass so anywhere from here north. TIA!

 Couples trip suggestions
Most Summer beach towns are super expensive in the Summer. I would expect to pay at least $500 a night for that to be honest. Ocean Resort in AC is really pretty, has a nice pool and beautiful spa. Not sure their Summer pricing. Newport and Maine are both beautiful, but not really the bar vibe

Newport Rhode Island
There are places like Water's Edge in CT but I don't think that has tons of bars.

There are bars in downtown Mystic. Or the jersey shore.

I stayed at water’s edge for a wedding and it was terrible. I think the bar closed at like 9pm and the restaurant even earlier. This was a few years ago so maybe it’s changed, but it was also really dated.

Yeah we have never stayed there. Stayed at Saybrook point which was nice for a night but not more....
Anything on the water in the North east in the summer is a complete rip off if you ask me. You're almost better forking over the money for airfare and going somewhere else.
