NYC day trips with kids
I really want to get my kids familiar with Manhattan. Brooklyn too. I figured it would be fun to do little day trips .
Where are your favorite places to go with kids? Cheap is even better ??

NYC day trips with kids
In Brooklyn: Coney Island for the amusement parks and nostalgia, Domino Park in williamsburg, Dumbo Brooklyn.
Manhattan i like: Chelsea Piers for the high line and little island, Greenwich Villiage, SOHO and East Village for the shopping, food and trendy vibes. I love all the museums in NYC, Central Park, I hate Times Square but if they never been do it at least once. Ride the Staten Island Ferry for a cheaper look at the statue of liberty.

FYI, this is more like an Instagram influencer photoshoot place.
Great for getting cool photos but its not what you would think.

How old are the kids?
There are a bunch of free galleries in Chelsea.
The Met and Natural History museum are pay what you wish for locals.
The Oculus is a new train station/mall combo right next to the 9/11 memorial.
Governor's Island
Central Park zoo
Coney Island/Brooklyn Cyclones

It all depends on the kids age, what they like and temperature. There are many things to do walking around for cheap, like Brooklyn bridge, governors island, Hudson yards and the high line, Central Park, etc. Museums with the suggested entrance like the Met or natural history, or smithsonians like the Indian museum close to battery park. Around there the bull and the FiDi, and the oculus.
