I was so happy yesterday as I know that my little sister is pregnant! Interestingly, the first thing we both want to know is the gender of the baby. It is not because we prefer a boy or a girl, but we just can’t wait to shop for the baby stuff. As we know, ultrasound scan is the best tool to know the gender of the baby, but the best time to do the scan is after 18 weeks. So let's try others. We have considered the Linea Nigra, carrying high or low and belly shape gender prediction methods, but it is again too soon to get the right answer from them. Finally we have successfully done two tests:1. The wedding ring test : Simply put your wedding ring on a chain or piece of string. Hold it over your belly and watch the motion. If the ring moves in a circle pattern, the baby should be a girl. If the ring swings in a side to side pattern, then the baby should be a boy. 2. The Chinese Gender Chart : It is actually a complicated one for me, as you will need to find out the mother's Chinese lunar age and month when conceived. Then put these two pieces of information in to the Chinese Gender Chart and you should predict the sex of the fetus. Both of them predicted a baby boy! We all know that all these old wives tale gender prediction methods are just for fun, but we really enjoyed them.
