Do Goldfish go bad, or just stale?
I just found two bags of Goldfish in my cabinet. Sell by date 4/4/10. Are they a danger or just stale? Do I toss them?

I would say they are just stale. Open, taste - discard if they are horrible, give to Michael if they are not.

Personally, I think the only risk is that they are stale.
But then again, I've never been one to follow the rules on label dates!

I don't follow them for myself too much, but for him I typically do. But they are Goldfish. He ate a half eaten bag he found on the bottom of my purse. They were open for weeks in my purse. I didn't know they were there, but he found them and gobbled them up. He doesn't notice stale.
