I am having an inspirational block for decorating-help
So we are moving my adult son out of the bedroom he has now, its actually the "2nd master" its 14wide X 19long & has its own full bath. We will be making into a guest suite/sitting room for DH & I. We have a full size four poster bed that is a medium dark wood finish & traditional in style. The floor will be medium hardwood & the room has crown moulding & large base moulding. Because the room is large I want to center the bed on the furthest wall, then add two recliners at the foot of the bed & a flat panel tv on the wall in front of them, so you can see it from the bed or the chairs.
Not only can I not find any bedding that blows my skirt up, but I really have no idea what color I'd like to paint, the room isn't very bright so nothing too dark. I'm not a lover of purple or yellow. The attached bath is also getting gutted & redone with white/grey marble & I'm thinking silver sage paint.
Please help me find a direction to go with this room. Post pics of anything you think would work. I also need help finding recliners that are traditional in style but not too $$$$$.
Our current guest room is a very pale pink & everyone that stays here says they sleep so restfully in that room, I know pinks are good feng shui for guest rooms but I want to do something different, yet have guests love it as much. Sorry its so long, looking forward to help from all the LIF decorating gurus!!!

Re: I am having an inspirational block for decorating-help
Kelly this is exactly what i was going to suggest, Silver Sage! It is my favorite color and I think it would work perfectly.
We painted our bath that we just redid this color, and I accessorized with the color as well. I loved it so much, I regretted not painting my own bedroom this color.
Here are some pics...my bath also has grayish marble with a touch of taupe in the tiles as well. I think it would be the perfect color for guests or yourselves. So soothing and calming and peaceful. The pics don't even do it justice, they are sort of dull. Everyone who comes into my bathroom loves this color (even my dad who has no concept of fashion/decorating).

I love the curtain you have in your bathroom, where did you get it. I love that it covers the whole window and still lets in so much light.

Thanks.
It is from Pottery Barn. PB drape shade. I bought them for all my awning windows b/c of the very reason you mentioned.
