Seeing Isn’t Always Believing: Judges Behavior May Have Viable Medical Explanation Say Some

Okay, personally, I’ve had enough of televised karaoke this year, finding that American Idol is simply “too much” or actually “not enough” (intelligent entertainment) for me. And, I a just can’t take the rampant ridiculing of the contestants and the debasing and erratic behaviour of the Judges.

And, speaking of the judges, one has been especially under public scrutiny, especially since last year. Not to mention that her recent “antics” resulted in once-again negative attention. And, some headlines are even suggesting that even doctors suggest that this may be the result of drug.

But, now in her “defense”, others are suggesting that her behavior may actually have a logical explanation. In fact, these few are concerned that this “disturbed” judge may literally have something wrong with her. To be more specific, they cite similarities to another star, (Dudley Moore), who showed similar uncontrollable outbursts and was also accused of substance abuse only to be ultimately diagnosed with PSP, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a condition that resulted in his death back in 2002.

Professionals point out that while the judged judge has not been diagnosed her displays may point to something other than the “obvious”. They add that PSP affect one out of every 100,000 individuals and has symptoms similar to those of Parkinson’s disease and can include difficulty with balance, vision, movement and speech. And, they add that since symptoms are similar to those of other illnesses it is often misdiagnosed.
