Scouts Honor: Girls Scouts Make An Effort To Honor Our Troops.

The Girl Scouts, much like the Boy Scouts have been noted for their dedication and service to the community. And, now the Nassau County Girl Scout Gift Of Caring Program is reaching out beyond our local residents and neighborhoods. In fact, they are reaching as far as Iraq and delivering Girl Scout to our military men and women.

The Girl Scouts offer a case of cookies for $42 that will be shipped overseas to our brave armed forces via the assistance of the Army Reserve Unit at Fort Toten and DHL. It is all part of an effort for these youngsters to take an active part in showing the soldiers support and hopefully bringing a smile to their face.
