Going rate for airport car service?
So I booked a flight for end of June, was looking for airport transportation from Southeast Nassau to LaGuardia airport for 2 adults and 3 kids. I contacted a car service recommended by a friend and they quoted me $125 plus tip each way. Is this the going rate for car service? I am not sure if I am better off doing an Uber XL.

Going rate for airport car service?
I recently priced out and took car service for 3 to JFK and paid $114 including tip each way.
Uber will probably be cheaper but you also run the risk of getting someone who isn't familiar with the airport. And you can't really schedule them in advance...can you?

Depending on how long you are going away for, may be cheaper to just park at the airport.

We paid $250 plus tip one way to Newark from Eastern Long Island .
Try looking into airpark. We did that when we were flying in and out of Newark.
I see there is one near Laguardia. They are really cheap and will cost you less than $100 to park for the week. They have shuttles every 15 minutes that take you to and from the airport.

We tend to just drive ourselves. Most of the time its cheaper just to do long term parking. Plus its just more convenient and less hassle to us too.

We just did Laguardia from central Nassau and we ubered.
One way was about $60 but it wasn't rush hour. The other way was the height of rush hour and it was $92 I think.
You can in fact schedule them in advance.
I hate getting off a plane and then having to drive through traffic so this worked for us.

Yes we are the same way. Especially in traffic, my husband rather be the driver than passenger in that scenario. He knows what to avoid and how to get home quicker. Plus if you have a ****** driver it sucks being a passenger or a passenger worried about the safety of your kids.

I'd say it's a good price.
We had a private car pick us up.
$110 each way plus gratuity.
That was from Suffolk to JFK.

Which company did you receive that quote from? I just received a quote double that from South Nassau to LaGuardia.
