Disney help

Hi ! We are going on our first trip to Disney next February. Will be me, my husband and our daughter who will be 7 by then. We are staying at the Hilton bonnet creek. We will have 9 days. How would you divide the days in terms of off days vs park days. How many days in each park ? Is universal worth it if my daughter is less than 48
Inches ? What’s the best water park ? Thanks !

There is a thread going about Disney on this board currently. IMHO Typhoon Lagoon is better water park for 7 y/o than Blizzard Beach. For a 9 day trip we would do Disney Springs on day of arrival, then two park days, off day (pool), two or three park days, off day or water park/Epcot Dinner, one or two park days (depending on the middle).

Re: Disney help

My response assumes you have 9 full park days and your travel days are separate. If that's not the case, I guess remove a day each from EP/HS.

I would do two each at MK and EP and one each at AK and HS. That leaves you 3 days for pool, resort hopping, Disney Springs, etc. You also might need an extra morning at HS if you want to hit all the headliners, so that's 2.5 days of rest. I wouldn't go less than that.

I don't know anything about the water parks, but if you did either one of those or Universal, I guess skip the second EP day or maybe skip AK totally unless she really loves animals.

Universal is basically either thrill rides or simulator rides. If she likes the latter, she'll have a lot of fun there. DS and DH love those and I just like to see them happy so I don't care. Harry Potter land is incredible and has to be seen to be believed but I feel like you have to at least know the story to appreciate it. I remember there is also a fun water area where DS stayed for maybe 1.5 hours.

Two days for MK and Epcot, One day for AK and HS. Rest Days can be pool or Disney springs or if you have a car, go to the beach or Kennedy space center or Sea world.

Of the water parks, we like Typhoon Lagoon.

Universal is a different beast. Mainly geared towards the older kids. If this is something they are interested in, i would go. You will find that Universal is so much easier to do than a Disney park.

I would skip Universal if she isn't 48". Lots of height requirements there of 48 or taller. I would 2 two days at Magic Kingdom at least. 1 day at Epcot (heavily under construction in the front of the park, and just chaos every single time we have went this past year). 2 days at Hollywood if she likes Toy Story and Star Wars. One if she doesn't like Star Wars. 1 day at Animal. We prefer Blizzard Beach over Typhoon Lagoon. WinterSummerland Mini Golf is super cute also.

February is insanely busy at Disney between winter break, the marathons AND the Cheer Nationals. So I would prepare for it to be really crowded.

Yup. UCA cheer national families typically start arriving the weekend before the actual competition dates. Disney is just super crowded in general now, there is no slow time so much anymore. Years ago it was quiet in January, and even February break, but that's just not the case anymore. Especially post pandemic.

I would probably wait on Universal unless she is into Harry Potter, for example.

Also depends on what stuff you are into. For us, we do 2 days MK and 2 days HS any time we go to Disney, because my husband is a huge Star Wars fan.

A tour guide to bring you through the parks? Never heard of that and how would they get you through things faster?

. Yes. There are tour guides you can hire to get you to the front of the line. They have special connections with the park and you don’t have to wait. It’s $$$ but it might be worth it if they lines are bad like people say.

Ahhh ok, maybe this is something new as I never heard of it or maybe I just never thought they would have something like that. The only way I have heard to get to the front is if you have a medical condition or wheelchair. Honestly, that is why we used to go the last week in August when the place was emptier as most kids were back in school.

If you are hiring an off-site tour guide they are cheating the system and telling Disney that they have a disability. The only legitimate way to bypass the line with a tour guide is to book directly through Disney. Or to have a condition that allows you to get a DAS pass. Actually that is why their disability system and process changed, because too many people were cheating the system, namely these VIP tour groups in the Orlando area.

I'm sure it was but it's not legitimate. Meaning they are either lying that they have a disability or signing you up for the disability pass. There is no way to bypass the line unless you hire a tour guide directly through Disney.

. I’ve read the reviews and that doesn’t seem to be the case at all, but I’m not an expert. They seem legitimate. You are telling me they’ve run a successful business for years that’s featured all over different media outlets with stellar reviews all by lying about a disability pass ? That doesn’t pass my smell test. They also do things aside from Disney.

Yep, that's what all these companies did before Disney changed they system. So while I don't know exactly that's what they are doing, I can tell you that Disney does not give any third party entity access to skipping the lines. Including outside tour groups. That goes directly against selling their own product of VIP Tour Groups. Just like they don't allow photographers to conduct business in their parks. You can call them directly and ask them. I'm pretty well-versed in Disney, as well as the disability pass since my son has autism. And if the tour company is giving you skip the line access, they are utilizing a system not intended for them.

I don't know anything about the disability access but I smell a big fat rat with this place.

All of their tripadvisor reviews except 2 (187) are "excellent" and it seems like almost all the reviewers have only one tripadvisor post. They also have a similar voice.

Disney is way too proprietary to give any third party access to touring perks.

Disney is not law enforcement and cannot "shut anyone down."

You have two people with dozens of trips under their belts advising caution in the interest of helping you but you're obviously free to do as you please. I hope it all works out and you have a great trip.

Do what you will. If you want to book one of those Services go for it. But don't be surprised when it doesn't turn out the way you hope. Especially considering the only way to get a VIP tour that allows you access to the rides without waiting, inside of Disney, is from Disney directly. Like I have stated over and over. I’m confused because I’ve heard different My just friend used them and said she had dramatically shorter wait times. No more than 10 minutes tops anywhere. Cost her $1000 a day so it doesn’t come cheap, but short wait times justifies it.

Go over and join the disboards for further info. I've been a member there for 20 years, they will reiterate what has been said here.

I’m confused because I’ve heard different My just friend used them and said she had dramatically shorter wait times. No more than 10 minutes tops anywhere. Cost her $1000 a day so it doesn’t come cheap, but short wait times justifies it.

Chances are they charged her $1000 and got a disability pass. Or charged her $1000 and used the paid lightening lane you can do yourself. Again, Disney doesn't offer a VIP service for outside entities. They have no pull in getting you to the front of the line at Disney. Regardless of what you pay. You can book directly through Disney for as low as $425 an hour. But I digress. Enjoy your trip.

If you are hiring an off-site tour guide they are cheating the system and telling Disney that they have a disability. The only legitimate way to bypass the line with a tour guide is to book directly through Disney. Or to have a condition that allows you to get a DAS pass. Actually that is why their disability system and process changed, because too many people were cheating the system, namely these VIP tour groups in the Orlando area.

. https://myfivestartour.com/- this was recommended

Disney is way too proprietary to give any third party access to touring perks.

. Their Google reviews are also excellent and clearly written by different people. You can’t fake that on Google. They aren’t the only ones who do this. There are plenty of independent concierges who Perform the same service. Why didn’t Disney shut them down ?

What cost $425 at Disney as the disability pass is free?
