Some people didn't have the option to "choose" to get vaccinated or tested. It was made mandatory. Buying any of the things mentioned is not mandatory. people can't just give up there jobs and survive it was a hard choice for many. Whether you choose to acknowledge or not there are negative things coming out now about the vaccine. Forcing people to choose between an unproven vaccine or survival is not "choosing" as the term you used.
Exactly. If i was threatened with losing my job that I have busted my ass for for 20 years to work my way up and build a career and a good living or get the vaccine I'd honestly have no choice.
People's livelihoods are not a choice.
What it is, is s coercion. Plain and simple.
But it's starting to fall apart. The vaccine mandate for Federal Workers was just blocked yesterday . This is a good first step.

That is great news. Enough is enough and if people start standing up and fighting, it will have to end. They know they can still get people though by having these home tests as an example of people jumping at free things.

Stop it, Losing your job is a choice. How can you ladies not see that?  
I’m so happy to finally see traction in stopping these ridiculous mandates and restrictions. They own selfishly serve big pharma, government and the wealthy. They don’t protect us as a whole. Enough is enough with these nonsensical and illogical ways of thinking.

I think if the mandates only prevented you from going out to eat, going on a plane, broadway shows, things like that- then yes, you can say it's a choice and these are the consequences. Because while I still think that's stupid, nobody has to do any of these things to survive.
But when you're telling people you may lose your home and the ability to feed your kids because you will lose your job if you don't get the vaccine- that's not really a choice. My family got the vaccine willingly before any mandates and we would do it again. But my husband had to force his wait staff to get vaccinated. He didn't want to but he had to- only one quit, but one person had just recovered from covid two weeks prior. What more protection was the vaccine giving him at that point?

I read this today on Linked In - of all places- and it really just resonated with me.
"For the record, I have nothing against the vaccine. However, the vaccine isn't good enough, nor is the virus deadly enough to force people to get it.
Whether it's jobs, traveling, or restaurants....no one should force you to have it. We need to stop this madness. I can possibly understand the Gov't reacting when there was panic amongst the American people, but there's plenty of data now.
Why is our Govt and also companies so focused on control? "
