I have always said they need to do more research with cannabis as it helps so many different things. Then again, it could be a cure so no money coming in and you can plant it for free.

The researchers did not study THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, due to campus rules prohibiting research using controlled substances. Van Breeman sought to temper public perception that recreational marijuana would have the same effect on preventing a COVID-19 infection as ingesting an oral supplement, noting in an interview with Vice News published Thursday that, when heated, the chemical profile and properties of the compound change.
"The active compounds we've discovered in hemp are cannabidiolic acid, CBD-A, CBG-A, and THC-A," Van Breeman explained to the outlet. "'A' stands for an acid group, a carboxylic acid — this group can be removed upon treatment. So if these hemp products containing these compounds are smoked or vaped, the heat exposure could cause the chemical decomposition or conversion of CBD-A to CBD, CBG-A to CBG, and THC-A to THC. So, we know that CBD, CBG and THC are not active against the virus."

I’m not surprised, and cannabis is not the only healing plant with many different properties. Buttttt it’s not an allopathic medicine so no wonder it’s not legal in many parts...there’s much more money in allopathic medicine than in natural medicine. Government would only allow this type of medicine if it can economically benefit from it and also control production (what’s been produced, who can do it, how can they do it, etc).

What about CBD without the THC? Or does it have to be the THC?
Because I use CBD edibles like they are going out of style and I've avoided Covid for all this time too so hey, maybe that explains it!

I was going to say definitely can’t be the norm.
Plenty of people that smoke have definitely gotten covid!!!

Have you ever gotten tested or have even see if you have the antibodies? Only because the last time my kids got tested positive they just had a cold if that. And so many people that test positive are not showing any symptoms.
I really feel like at this point everybody is probably going to get it/have it. It’s just a question if they test to see if they have it.

I haven't even had a cold since this started so unless I was completely asymptomatic I don't think I've had it.
I've literally not felt so much as run down.
I've never tested, never had a reason to.

I have a friend who smokes and eats it, along with her spouse, and they both still got Covid (and are vaccinated to boot!). But, my dad had Stage 2 lung cancer last year. He refused all medical treatment, and smoking weed pretty much cured it. His tumor was not even detectable on his latest scan. So it definitely works for some illnesses! Not sure about Covid though.

I know friends who smoke on a constant basis, got covid plus vaccinated, some young and some over 50 and they barely had symptoms.

so i don't think anyone taking cbd gummies and things like that had protection. i think this has to do with the medical grade stuff

Probably the ones who have NO stake in pot and CBD. I still think cannabis should be researched more in the ways of some illnesses as it has been proven to help. Again, they don't want cures for things that make a ton of money.

The original article explained it, and I quoted it in my first post. It's not CBD or THC that has any effect, it's CBD-A, which gets converted to CBD when heated, so the study never claimed that smoking pot would help with Covid.
It absolutely helps with other health issues.

The original article explained it, and I quoted it in my first post. It's not CBD or THC that has any effect, it's CBD-A, which gets converted to CBD when heated, so the study never claimed that smoking pot would help with Covid.
