Where to get covid testing?
I am finding it impossible to make an appointment anywhere. The urgent cares are all booked too. My DH wants to get one and needs PCR for his job.

Where to get covid testing?
Check local pharmacies. My SIL and brother were able to get one today in Bethpage.
My sister and BIL got to an urgent care 90 minutes early yesterday and were able to be tested. I don’t know where they went though. I think an urgent care near Islip.

I’m in NJ and wanted to get my son tested because he was exposed a week before the break. It was impossible because of the mass hysteria for the holidays. So I just took my chances.
I hope your DH finds a place.

Where to get covid testing?
Where are you located? I was able to get tested at a city md this morning, but i had to line up at 7:30. I was 9th on line, they opened at 9, was tested at 9:30.

The place I go to, I don't make an appointment, just show up. Don't know how the lines are today but I wouldn't go to City MD as seems everyone goes there.

Check with your primary care dr. Mine does them in the parking lot while you sit in your car.

Thanks all, we were able to find an appointment at a drive through testing center. I also picked up some at home covid tests someone in a mom group i'm in was selling but now apparently our new county executive plans to give out free home testing kits. I'm glad they're starting to recognize the need for more testing.
ETA when I tried the Urgent Cares, it seems each one did things differently. City MD you had to line up in the morning for an appointment. Then another urgent care said you had to log onto their website at midnight and obtain an appointment for the next day. It's nuts.

Got mine done at the Northwell Pop up site and got it back in a day vs the 2-3 days they said.

Same here, but mine is only doing them with symptoms because of the high demand! I hope it all returns to kind of normal soon.

I was watching the news while some guy was on line for a test and he was like, when will this end? Umm when people like you stay home if you are sick and not wait in line for a test you most likely don’t need. He didn’t sound sick and had his mask under his nose. SMH.

Doubt it because people who do that have their regular places they go to. They don't go to random drive ups. They have been open here because people are going crazy here testing. Not sure how it is by you.

I was watching the news this morning and the guy they were interviewing waited in line for over 7 hours for testing that he needed to have done to return to work.

I was watching the news this morning and the guy they were interviewing waited in line for over 7 hours for testing that he needed to have done to return to work.
That is horrible. I waited the most 3 hours one day and that was right after the media started scaring everyone into thinking they had to be tested for S&G's. The following week I went on a weekday and was there less than an hour. Then 2 hours the next weekend.
