I got my booster. I have asthma so I wanted to protect myself, it had been 7 mos since I was fully vaccinated.

My husband and i were sent emails that we qualified for boosters. We both went to our doctors (separate doctors) and they both did anti body tests and said neither of us need it now because our antibodies were still high enough.

DH and I got our booster shots just under 2 weeks ago. (6 months to the day of our 2nd vaccine dose)

Didn’t get it, don’t plan on getting it any time soon. I don’t know many people IRL that have gotten it and I’m part of a pretty pro vaccine group of people.

Getting another antibody check next week. If they are still very high, I’m waiting. If they have dropped, I’ll get my booster.
I planned on it when it because available, assuming I’d need it (Covid in January, J&J shot in March) but antibodies were >2500. So I’m waiting.

I do think it’s important to get your antibodies checked before getting the booster cause you may not even need it.

I got my booster a long time ago b/c of the chemo meds I was on - makes the vaccines less effective.

I did. All of my extended family and friends have also since everyone was due.
No , I did not get an antibody test. My Dr.'s office does not do them anymore since they said they found them to be very unreliable and were just making people crazy. But since my original was J & J, I was confident if I had any antibodies they were most likely low.

I believe 2 months after J & J and yes 6 months for Pfizer/Moderna.

Out of curiosity, anyone who had their booster at least 1 month ago… will you have antibodies checked to see if it did what you had hoped for?
I’m curious because a family member had their antibodies checked. It was 9.7. They had the booster because that was low. Still Positive , but low. They don’t plan on checking again anytime soon but I need to know where that booster put them to in terms of antibody protection.
Anyone have any links to peoples antibodies post booster?

Me and my family all got our boosters right before Thanksgiving. We did not get our antibodies checked.
We had our first Moderna vaccines in January and second in early February, so we didn't want to wait.

If you remember, update on those antibodies if they show up.
My family member never had covid and had both Pfizer shots had good antibody response a month after their 2nd shot. Came up to almost a year and was low so got booster. So they showed response. My sister and mom too. No covid. Great antibody response to original shots (moderna)

I got my booster. I did not check antibodies. I figured it can't hurt so may as well. "Santa" can't go down this time of year and I know way too many people getting Covid now.
ETA: I have no intentions of checking my antibodies. I am just going to treat this like the flu shot.
