Flu A
Both of my kids have tested positive for Flu A. The nurse said that for the past 2 weeks there’s been a huge increase of kids testing positive for Flu A. Apparently my pediatrician got fully booked with appts today within 20 minutes!! Crazy! I’m afraid I might be next. If I go down, this ship goes down lol!! Anyone else in Flu hell right now?

Thankfully I’m not. I’m scared of the flu, that sh!t takes me out. I’m an on my ass for 2-3 weeks when I get the flu.
I hope you don’t get sick and everyone in your family feels better soon! Did your kids get the flu shot?

Omg I knowww!! Hoping my husband and I don’t get sick too.. Yes, they both got the flu shot and super sick.
Ugh, I hope my son doesn’t bring the flu home. Seems like this strain is a strong one this year.

Flu A
Ugh - I got the flu a few years ago and thankfully just I got it. DH and kids were spared (well, DH wasn’t home most of the time I felt like I was dying but thankfully the kids didn’t get sick).
My friend works in a big NYC hospital and they said they are slammed with sick people right now - not with Covid, just sick people waiting hours for beds.

Flu A
My daughter had the flu in 2018...that year when it was really bad! Despite all of our preventative measures (so many kids had the flu in her class). But, we knocked it out in about 24 hours using Flu Fix medicine from Amazon, Osciocillum (sp?), Zinc and Vitamin C. She was fever free the next day. But, I started giving this all the minute she had a fever. You are probably too late to start giving this stuff, since they all work best right at the onset of symptoms, but for future!

Elderberry Syrup!!! Both my boys had the flu one in Fall 2019 and the other Jan 2020. I up'd their elderberry, lots of fluids, plenty of rest, motrin at night only (unless they were really uncomfortable) and it knocked it out of them in 3 days. They also had the flu shot so who knows if that helped.
I refused to give them Tamiflu

DD just tested positive. Doctor said kids with Covid are jumping up and down. Kids with flu have super high fevers which she has.

Several people who attended a wedding last weekend woke up on Tuesday sick as hell - the flu! Knocked them out for a few days.

My daughter ended up with flu A a couple of weeks ago and my son tested positive 2 days later. We are all vaccinated for flu. My husband called our PCP and my husband and I started on Tamiflu the day my daughter tested positive and we didn’t end up getting sick.
We didn’t choose to put the kids on tamiflu because they vomited after taking it several years ago.
