Space it out at least 2 weeks. That’s what my moms dr and the pharmacist told her.
I had the J&J shot in march, so I am eligible for my booster now if I want it. I had Covid in January (which was the reason I chose J&J) so when I went for my physical, I asked to check antibodies to see if I needed the booster yet. Test came back >2500. So My dr and I agreed
There is no need for me to run for a booster just yet. I plan on checking my antibodies monthly. Once they drop significantly - I will get a booster. I am going to stick with J&J.

What is the number that is not enough antibodies? I was just thinking about this earlier. Meaning what number can you have that the doctor says "That's a low count. You should get the booster." Or is the number zero?
ETA: or I could just google this myself rather than bothering my nice internet friends.

Honestly, there is no magic number.
<0.8 is negative. So if I had say 100 - I’d be booking my booster. Some get the booster without even checking so they could possibly have a high count already and not even know it. My mom had hers checked and she was at 497. She is 82 and has diabetes and copd. She got her booster 2 days ago. For her, the more the merrier. She has a low grade fever and feels like crap, but she did with the 1st 2 shots as well (Moderna)
1. Don’t want to take a vaccine away from those who haven’t had any at all when I shouldn’t need it yet
2. I had what I call a “mini Covid after my vaccine. It was a long 36 hours. So unless I NEED to do it again, I’ll wait.

Anyone 18+ with underlying medical conditions is able to get it according to this site: https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/booster-doses
I got my Moderna booster yesterday (I feel totally fine), and DH has his Pfizer scheduled in a couple of days. We do both have underlying medical conditions, though I was not asked for anything aside from my vaccine card when I went to the appointment.

From what I read, the boosters are already allotted for so you’re not taking it away from anyone. The real issue is that the US should be allocating these doses to countries in need, but they’re not. Even if you don’t get the booster, they’re not giving more to other countries.
I will say my reaction was less after the booster than after the second dose. I was also exposed to Covid recently because my son was infected so I’m pretty confident my antibody level is high.

They needed the card so they could write the third dose on it. My card had been in my wallet, with a crayon lol, it's quite colorful.

I actually forgot my card (realized it AS I pulled into the parking lot  ), and they said it was fine and just gave me a new one with the first two slots crossed out and the booster written in where they would have written it on my original. (I was so relieved -- would have driven me nuts to have to go back and get it.)

They asked for my card (they add in the date of the third dose).

My coworker isnt able to enjoy Diwali and had to take off because of her booster. She regrets taking it right before. The only reason I am saying for people to be mindful when scheduling it, as you dont know how you will react. She was fine with both doses of the vaccine.

Booster question - no judgement please
I am getting my Moderna booster next Wednesday, since I have off the following day for Veterans Day. My original shots were Moderna. I did get my flu shot on Wednesday so I'm hoping a week apart is ok. My doctor knows I'm doing them a week apart and didn't say anything.

For those who are considering or will vaccinate their kids this fall/winter, my nieces pediatrician told them to wait a month between the Covid and flu shot. Not sure if it’s because they are kids and she is being extra cautious. But just an FYI.
