Plummeting poll numbers
There has always been healthy (sometimes heated) debate about poll numbers.
Are Biden’s tanking poll numbers concerning for those that voted for him?

I am not surprised by the falling approval ratings. Biden's administration has made some hard decisions that are not popular. I also think that people thought that once Biden took office all the strife, chaos. adversarial relationships would just get better.
Biden inherited an infected, puss filled wound, so to speak, and it won't get better overnight but that is what people wanted and expected and hoped for.
The administration that was inherited was probably one of the worst administrations in history - worse then the Nixon/Agnew administration. The vitriol and corruption that was rampant in the previous administration isn't easy to move past. The presidency was used for personal gain and it continues to this day.
Also, don't forget that even if you didn't vote for Trump doesn't mean one voted for Biden. There was a 3rd on that ballot.

And he practically admitted in his speech earlier this month that he agrees with Putin and wants to move this country away from democracy and towards autocracy.

If this administration is responsible for gas prices - why is it a global epidemic? It would be contained within the borders of the US.
Same with supply. If it was Biden's administration - it would not be felt globally.
Inflation is a concern across the globe and I do worry about stagflation but again - it's global.
I'm not going to go back and forth about what I believe is corruption in the previous administration.

I love how people still think taking down statues of people who represent a dark and tragic place in this country's history is ruining America. That part of our history is not something to be proud of and not something we should celebrate.
I do not think Biden is a good president. I do not think Trump was a good president.
But people have to let go of this statue thing. These people were animals who enslaved and abused human beings. Why would we honor them with statues and their names on buildings?

You can hate Biden all you want but anyone who denies that the previous administration was pretty much the most corrupt in history is not well informed at all.
The proof is out there, all over the place, and if you want to hear it from the Republican side it’s all in the Senate intelligence committee report from last September that detailed the treason and corruption.
It has nothing to do with “mean tweets“ although those certainly don’t help either.
He’s a criminal. End of story. Prominent, decent Republicans repudiate him all the time. It’s getting ridiculous. Get off the Trump train.
That’s not directed to anyone in particular but just overall there’s no valid reason to defend him. At all. You can be a reasonable decent human being and have more conservative beliefs – relatively speaking - and say “shit, this ain’t my guy.” Enough with the crazy already.

To actually answer the OP, I don’t give a shit about his poll numbers. I have no idea what they are. I never really paid attention to trump’s either. I just want whoever is in charge to do whatever he or she can to solve the problems that the country is facing.

How the hellll did trump make Americans feel American again. He did the complete opposite and cause so much friction in this country. And yes his tweets did not help this.
And what he did is still clearly effecting this country.
What history is being destroyed is this all about the stupid Columbus history. I don’t care either way but telling the truth on what really happened in history is not destroying it.
The choices for President the past election were not great choices!!
We need actual good candidates and I’m dreading that Trump will probably run again. I hope the Republican Party is smart enough to put a better person up there then Trump.

I can't speak for anyone on here, but from people I have spoken to IRL, the taking down of statues of known slave owners and the renaming of Columbus Day has really upset a lot of people. Why, I have no idea.

Taking down statues is not erasing history. The only way to erase history is if you had a time machine.
Look, I am not offended by any of it. But I am a white person. My ancestors were not enslaved by these people. My ancestors weren't tortured and killed by Christopher Columbus. So, not really my place to say what should or shouldn't be done.

For example, some of our founding fathers owned slaves or servants, but people now find it offensive, so they are destroying the statues thinking it will erase what happened, but it wont.

No one thinks removing a statue will erase what happened. All that removing a statue does is remove the person from a place of honor. Why should a confederate general have a place of honor? The confederacy tried to tear the country apart in the name of slavery. These are people you want to be memorialized in statues for all to see?
These statues belong in a museum where they can be contextualized. Walking by a statue in a town center gives off the impression that this is someone to be revered.

I don't look at poll numbers and I really try not to compare current President's to past. Every single President inherits crap from the previous administration so I try to look to see what the current administration is doing to enhance the lives of citizens currently. Personally, I have seen nothing from Biden that is positive. The pandemic is a shit show, supplies are stuck on cardo ships for months on end, gas is up, no one wants to go back to work, racial tensions are still at a high, cancel culture is rampant, and china is going after Taiwan again. The democratic party, at least locally, is having a ton internal fighting with the progressives and the republican party just needs to dissolve. Everything is pretty depressing actually.

People are not "destroying statues" to erase what happened. At all.
People are pushing to have statues removed to stop celebrating people who committed atrocities.
A statue is celebratory. Besides, we don't "learn" from statues anyway. You don't see statues of Hitler and his ilk in the European democracies.
Learning about these individuals in classrooms, museums, etc. is the more appropriate way to face what happened, place it in context, and learn what we need to do different/better to move forward as a country.
