Covid deaths 2021
We have now had more deaths in 2021 then we did in 2020. People were quick to say Trump was responsible for all those deaths in 2020z Curious if people feel Biden is to blame for all the death in 2021 despite having the vaccine available. Should Biden be doing something different? Gov’t issue mask mandate? Closed borders?
For the record I don’t think either President should be blamed. The virus is something that is beyond one man. I do think we should be more focused on treatments at this point as opposed to a vaccine but that’s my opinion.
Curious what people re thinking now that Biden has been in charge of saving us all from the virus.

Amazing right? I thought Biden was going to help eradicate COVID yet here we are with a vaccine and a higher death count than last year but yet not a peep about those stats anywhere.
FTR: I don't think any President should be blamed either however when you try to come in with your sweet words and your vaccine mandates but yet there is a higher death rate on your watch you make yourself a laughing stock.

I didn’t realize Biden was supposed to save the day in covid?? How was he supposed to do that?
I do however think he takes it more serious then Trump did. I do not believe Trump handled it the best way he could but I also don’t blame Trump for everything that has happened
ETA: what I find interesting that there is more deaths in 2021 and 2020 is people are still not think it’s that serious and it’s all a conspiracy/hoax.
Also I wonder if more deaths this year is because more states are loosening their mandates and people aren’t taking it that serious anymore (FTR I am one of those who is choosing to still live life and not worry too much about it)

Didnt he run on the promise of getting Covid under control? Multiple vaccines and were no better than we were prior to when he took office. We’re in worse shape….but because he doesn’t tweet mean things it’s ok.

Any President that claims that they would get a pandemic under control is delusional. Obviously Biden was just using that to get votes from the people that hated Trump but he is doing no better and as the numbers are showing, it is actually worse. It will never be under control with every state doing something different, so either it's a Country wide mandate or just start focusing on treatments instead of the useless vaccine. It is going to take the country years to get out of the financial ramifications of Covid and that also does not seem to be getting better, at least not fast enough and that is on Biden.

I don’t understand why we aren’t focused on treatments. Is it because states like Florida are opening up treatments centers instead of pop up vaccination centers? God forbid this administration admit that something Florida is doing could be saving lives? Nope, instead blue states are going to continue to shove vaccines and hundreds of boosters down our throats. THERE ARE TREATMENTS but nobody talks about them in blue states, it’s the weirdest thing.

I think anyone that made large sacrifices during the pandemic at the request of local politicians needs to justify their sacrifices by thinking that it was necessary, when in reality our rates are only marginally better at the best of times and many times marginally worse. Unfortunately unless we were going to shut down forever, we are going to get covid.
It's sad how divided our country is now. If someone disagrees with someone else, instead of having an open mind and listening to another point of view, people dismiss people as stupid, backwards, etc.
Also, I love how the people making these statements have not been to any of these southern states since the pandemic started. I have spent a good amount of time in the south the past year and a half and I can assure you many people are wearing masks, practicing social distancing and taking other precautions. The media picks and chooses how they portray things. It's like when you see the reporter in a rowboat after a hurricane describing the flooding and then they pan out and you see it's just a small part of the street that's flooded.
