You can't expect anything different on this site unfortunealty.
One thing I can highly recommend from both an environmental and huge money saving standpoint is a pellet stove.
We got one about 15 years ago. I didn't want it, DH did.
I can't tell how I've eaten my words. We get a total of 2 oil deliveries a year We only use oil to make hot water. We heat our entire house all winter long without ever using oil. And it's much warmer than it would be if we were running the burner and keeping it at a lower temp to save money and oil.
Sometimes it gets too hot and I'm stripping down to shorts and turning it off.
The pellets are made from compressed sawdust that is recycled from building projects and burn very clean.
There is no smell with like a wood burning stove.
With the way the price of oil is going I'm so glad we have this.
We have a small house so it heats the whole house.
But having said that, like others said, all of this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the big picture and yeah, we probably are doomed no matter what.
I've always wanted a pellet stove in case of power outages in the winter. Unfortunately my house is teeny and I have no where to put it!

But the fireplace was SO inefficient as it sucks warm air from your room right up the chimney so you never get much heat unless you are standing in front of it. So we were able to get a pellet stove insert that went right into the fireplace and we used that.
Best investment ever.

You will never, ever get the answer to that WW. Also, how did she even know that was happening? Did her friends all come to her and tell her that a mutual friend was requesting them? I get friend requests all the time from friends of friends that I don't know. I assume they are trying to sell something like pampered chef or beachbody. I just decline the request and move on. I would have never thought to tell the mutual friend.

No clue as I never tell other mutual friends either. I decline all the time too. Just today I had someone who I have no clue who it is. Not sure why you want to friend someone you don't even know.
