Where should we go?
Need to plan a trip for Me, DH and 11YO DD. We want a beach vacation, all inclusive. trying to stay under $4K for flight & stay. thinking of going over thanksgiving, but open to moving my dates.
We usually do Aruba (not AI)- I don't think I can do the whole thing under my budget and we're just looking for something more lowkey.
We've been to Bahamas- Baha Mar without DD and don't feel she'd like it. Not interested in Atlantis.
Please recommend locations and which resorts. DR? Mexico?
We love the beach, sun, water sports, etc. Would be nice if there is a kids club so we can have a little alone time too.

It's hard to find All inclusives in the US.
I have stayed at some amazing resorts in Florida but they are not All inclusive
I hear great things about the All Inclusive in the DR and Mexico though I have never been

Might look into Bermuda- although in November, not sure it will be warm enough. Not interested in staying in the US. Def not Key West.
I've heard good things about the Dreams resorts- so I guess I'll look into those.

Bermuda may be too cold in November. It's more of a May to Oct place.
Also, ,it's very expensive and I don't think their are any all inclusives.

Someone had posted about Dreams Playa Mujeres on this board and I have looked into it. I am hoping to plan a trip for next spring there. It looks like it has lots of great things for kids and lots of relaxing things for mama.

I went to Dreams, Punta Cana, DR about 6-7 years ago. It was very nice - nothing to complain about. But also nothing over the top exceptional about it. It was clean, nice rooms, nice beach, food was ok - better at the "specailty restaurants" but decent at the buffet restaurants too. Defintely fits the bill for a nice, low key, relatively inexpensive vacation destination

this is the one we've been looking at-- for exactly those reasons- looks decent, inexpensive, short flight, etc. thanks!

Hilton La Romana looks nice for families in the DR. Inexpensive when I looked into it.

Hyatt ziva cap Cana was one of the best family vacations ever! Resort is new and beautiful, they have a great water park. Service is excellent, as is food. Highly recommend
