Homeowners Damages from Storm

Hi, we have some good damage from the first storm last night. Tree fell onto our gutters, from what we can see, missing the roof by inches. But took off the whole mast, meter, left a hole in the side of the house where the mast stood and took siding with it when it fell.

Calling homeowners when they open this morning but would love to hear others experiences with making claims due to storm damage. We are thankful everyone is okay.

No advice here Chat Icon but that was my worry last night. We have a good amount of trees around us and I was afraid something like that would happen to us. The lights kept flicking several times.

We had roof damage from Isaias (August 2020)
It sounds pretty similar to yours, and the insurance company didn’t even come to our house to look at it. We sent them an estimate and they sent us a check!

And on the other side of that coin, I know someone whose house was destroyed by Isaias and they are still living in rental housing. The insurance company hasn't done anything yet - not even started estimates for repairs. It's crazy!

(when I say estimates - I guess I mean sending out their adjusters to determine the amount of damage)
