where did you get your belly button pierced?
did you buy the ring in advance or in the place?
did you have to buy a cleaning salve/cream? give me the details

A gazillion years ago at Utopia. 
And they supplied the ring.
Pretty sure they still do it; and if I remember correctly; I think I had to use either Neosporin or Bacitraycin???

I had it done at a tattoo parlor about 18 years ago! 
They supplied the ring (and it was a ring, not a barbell) and I used bacitracin. Funny, I was just talking about it yesterday. It didn't hurt at all and was easy to care for. I just don't wear it now because I'm old and fat. 
ETA: Tattoo parlor is now closed- but not because of anything bad, the whole block was bought and turned into another apartment building.

Never had this done- because I'm a wimp with all things painful and don't' even have my ears pierced lol- but I have heard the best, and safest place to get any piercings done is always a tattoo parlor.

I’ve heard they are back in style! Got mine done 20 yrs ago ahhh at a tattoo shop in the Bronx. And I picked the ring out there and only had to use dial soap to clean it. I actually bought new rings on Amazon the other day, but the gauge is now too large for the hole. I’ve had it out for close to 10 yrs... guess it closed up quite a bit.

I don’t even remember how bad is that.
My guess is I had it done Utopia and this was years ago.
Whatever it was they definitely supplied the ring but I’m don’t even remember if I had a ring or a bar bell to begin with either way I know all I wore were barbell. I took it out once I got pregnant and never put it back in.

This was over 20 years ago but I went to a piercing place in Greenwich Village (I don't quite remember the name). They supplied the ring. As for cleaning it, I remember being instructed to only use antibacterial soap on it.
