Baby Shower inside a private home in mid-March - thoughts?
I'm definitely hesitant due to COVID...would you consider going?

It depends on how many people and how close I am to them.

I would want to know how many people were attending. If it’s a lot in a small space, I might be hesitant. It would also depend upon how close you are to the mom to be.

Re: Baby Shower
I would most likely go but I had covid already and even if I didn’t I would still most likely go.
I assume it’s someone close cause I would think in a house you can only hold so many people so mom to be is only inviting close friends

No and I am fully vaccinated. My husband will not be fully vaccinated until the end of March and he frequently comes down with pneumonia so it's not worth the risk to me.

I would go...but I'm very laid back and not really fearful. Been eating indoors at restaurants since June. This is no different

Nope. I personally think it's not a wise move for the mother to be.

Re: Baby Shower
I'm going to say no. But if I'm being honest, I would happily decline a baby shower on a good day pre-covid.

Agree. If it’s gonna be in a house, I doubt they’ll have a whole bunch of people. I would def go.

Like others have said, if it's in the house, it's probably a small group of close family and friends. I would probably go. But, if you don't feel comfortable, then definitely don't go. Everyone's comfort level is different and we can't feel obligated to do something that we don't want to do. Just go with your gut.

Re: Baby Shower
Depends on who it is- only family really for me. We're having a friend's baby shower virtually in March.

Re: Baby Shower
No way.
Outside, maybe.
I can't wait for warmer weather so my family and friends can start with some get togethers.

I would go. What the difference between this and going to an indoor supermarket, restaurant or indoor anything? Wear your mask and wash your hands. Maybe the owners will also have some windows open.

The main difference, at least for me, is that a restaurant you are not sitting close to others, in a home you typically are. In a restaurant your food is your food, it's not a buffet type setup with shared utensils, shared drink bottles etc that 25 other people have touched. Now with that said, I would wash my hands or alcohol wipe them after I touched shared items, like I've always done my entire adult life. I'm not sure I would be comfy with everyone in close quarters though. I suppose you could wear your mask at the party?

Do what you are comfortable with but I would not be comfortable with this.

Re: Baby Shower
No not worth it to me. Do people wear masks at parties like this? I ask because a few people above said just wear a mask but my guess is you’d be the only one at the party in a mask, maybe I’m wrong.

Baby Shower
This is a good friend and colleague so I feel terrible for even contemplating not going. I am fully vaccinated as well but I am not as worried about myself as much as I am about possibly transmitting it.
From what I heard from another girl who was invited, is that it may be like 20 people? TBH - I don't know how it will be kept that small, she has many friends and that would be excluding quite a bit.
I want to ask if masks will be worn, just such an odd thing, but definitely appropriate in this climate.
