Yeah - so much is coming out that he lied. Dude was TOTALLY going to Cancun for a weekend trip while people in TX are boiling snow for water. He's a horrible person.

He should have stayed til Texas’ situation improved. Nothing wrong with his wife and kids going on vacation but he should have stayed. No excuses. And yes, he could have done his work virtually using his laptop or phone but this situation required his physical presence, he’s one of the representatives of Texas. The last thing he should have done is not being present during this difficult time Texas is facing.

many politicians have taken vacation time during important/crucial times.
Problem is that Ted Cruz isn’t known to fly under the radar. He is not liked by many and also doesn’t like many. That was a stupid decision on his part, at least he came back and owned up to it (unlike others). But for someone who loves to be in the spotlight he should really be making better decisions.

I wouldn’t say he owned up to it. No way was he just flying his family down and coming back. He got caught and then decided to come back and instead of just saying he is was a moron for going he created a lie.
It probably wouldn’t have been a big deal if he didn’t talk crap about people in the past doing the same thing. Though either way it’s probably wasn’t the smartest to go to Mexico during a crisis!

Oh I agree, he got caught so that’s why he changed his mind.
If you are going to be quick to point the finger at others you better make sure you are always on your A-game. You know the old saying....when you point your finger there are 3 pointing right back at you.
