Have you seen this one?

Some woman used gorilla glue spray to spray down her hair in place of hairspray and now she wants to sue the company bc there's no warning about spraying it on hair. It only says don't spray on skin. Last I checked hair grows out of your skin. I dont know what to say about the world anymore...

Re: Have you seen this one?

I saw the video on Instagram and thought it was a joke at first.
But I had no idea she was going to sue over her own stupidity.
This world is just getting more and more effed up every day.
I guess now they will have to put another warning on thr can....not for use on hair.
Also, don't use it as a contact lens solution either.
And don't spray it up your ass either.

What would possess someone to do this? I would hope the desire to go viral has to have its limits.

She also raised $17k on GoFundMe and a plastic surgeon offered to do a procedure to help remove the hair for free (normally would cost about $10k). Chat Icon I've also seen that Gorilla Glue responded to her directly and advised to use rubbing alcohol and try to comb the glue out but I don't think she tried it. Instead her dumb @ss friend has been pouring acetone and goo gone on her ponytail and then just cut it off. She still has her hair plastered to her head. Chat Icon

ETA: I can't help but follow this story, what a train wreck!

People dying from cancer who can't afford treatment and bankrupted from medical bills, diabetics rationing their insulin and dying because they can't afford it, but sure let's pour money on this.

Let's not forget to add starving kids.

So my question is- can she not just shave it off? Why does she need a surgeon to remove it?

if you see pictures of her, her hair is pasted to her scalp for the sleek look. she runs the risk of damaging the skin... this is my understanding of what i've read.

Re: Have you seen this one?

As far as suing because she says there's no warning about hair use, which I think suing over her own gross negligence is ridiculous, but why does she think the manufacturer has to put a warning because of society's stupidity? I'm sure the packaging says what material it can be used on (wood, plastic, fabric, etc.) nowhere does it say for use on the body. I'm sure they have warnings to avoid getting on skin and eye area and use with ventilation for idiots who lack common sense and won't read the label anyway. Is that not enough? Why do they need to specify each body part?? Warning: Do not use on butt cheeks if you ever want to sht again. What is wrong with people?? This isn't a hair product. I haven't read the whole story. Did she purposely put it in her hair? Was it an accident? I'm trying to understand how she thought this would be a good idea.

yes, she used in on purpose. She ran out of her regular hairspray, so thought this would be a good substitute Chat Icon . How or why she thought it would be a good idea is a complete mystery. Definitely a stupid idea (and if you see the video, it's not like she just used a little bit. Her hair on her entire head is now a part of her scalp - almost looks like it's drawn on with a Sharpie. No idea how this will ever "grow out"

Re: Have you seen this one?

So here is what I am deducing.
Her normal hair product was the Got 2 Be Glued.
It's called Glued- but it's a heavy duty strong hair spray.
Pauly D promotes it now- it's what he uses in his hair to get it to stand up like that. You'll notice it placed stargetically throughout the Jersey Shore show. I think he has his face on some of the cans too.

In the wig world, they use that spray to "glue down" wigs- like at the front hair line. But it's not glue. It's very very stiff hairspray that is sticky enough to glue down a wig.

I am assuming that she thought it was glue though. And figured, hey, glue is glue.

That's the only thing I got....

from what i've read, the product she ran out of was Moco De Gorila... which is another one of those strong hair products that spikes hair up. she saw gorilla glue and thought it was a good substitute.

again, this is how i've heard the story.

ETA:
according to the link above, she ran out of Got2Be.
i was wrong lol

There's another product called gorilla snot that's some type of strong hold hair gel. It also has an image of a gorilla on the bottle and it's a similar neon color, but it's a different shape bottle than the gorilla glue can. Maybe she got confused?? Idk lol trying to make some sense. As for shaving it's probably not possible because it's slicked to her head like a second skin. It's very scary looking.

"She reportedly hired a lawyer and is considering her legal options against Gorilla Glue because the label on the product she used says it should not be used on eyes, skin or clothing without mentioning hair."..... is hair not closely enough related to eyes and skin that people need it spelled out? Is she not aware her scalp is made of skin? And if it's unsafe for clothing what makes someone think it's safe for hair?? "Oh it might ruin my Spongebob t-shirt, but I'm sure it's fine for my hair"...

It scares me that she's responsible for the care of chidren.

Tessica took up Bev Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Obeng on his offer to perform the $12,500 procedure for free, and it was a pretty grueling process. ... about 4 hours long!

Dr. Obeng broke down his secret recipe for us, explaining it was all just basic chemistry. We're no scientists, so watch the video for his explanation -- but in a nutshell, he combined medical grade adhesive remover, aloe vera, olive oil and a dash of acetone.

He said that's all it took to break down the polyurethane -- the main ingredient in Gorilla Glue.

We asked if she's done with home styling after the Gorilla Glue nightmare, and let's just say she's got big plans for this weekend.
