The endless attention seeking- it leads to shit like this. Selfishness.
Nobody gives a flying shit the sex of your baby. The only people who care are you and your spouse.. You aren't the first person in the history of the world to get pregnant and give birth.
And this should 100% be a charge of reckless manslaughter or negligent homicide or whatever it is.
And the family of that person who was killed should sue for every penny they can.

As the couple that hosted this party and did this I just wonder how you moved past killing someone while trying to celebrate the birth of your child. I don't know if I could. I would hate myself and my husband and it would just completely taint my entire life.

Not long ago a couple started a wildfire that caused millions of acres of devastation because they were expecting a boy? girl? Nobody even knows or remembers because nobody cares except for the expectant parents. My favorite is the couple that accidentally killed grandma. That should be fun to explain to the kid what happened to grandma. People are the worst. Ironically, the woman who started this trend is now against it after the first "gender reveal" child came out as transgendered.

I know - that's what I am saying - if you are responsible for killing someone or killing many people and ruining lives how do you go on? Somehow this is different to me than say, getting in a car accident and someone dies. This is an accident too but there is just something so completely self centered and lacking awareness that makes it different.

Same. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I caused this.
I don't care for gender reveal parties and all that. It's just not for me. But if you want to celebrate whatever happened to just having cake? Oh yeah, everyone wants to go viral with the latest show stopper and theatrics. Why are idiots handling explosives?
