If you would like to see some hypocrisy google Trump’s inauguration in 2017. Where it all started.....
Attacking police at the capitol...check
Armed “protesters”....check
Violence....check
Etc.....
Granted, they never stormed the capitol. But there was violence at the capitol. You can’t defend their behavior....even tho so many did back then.
I think we can all agree that this needs to end.
Both sides have idiots that give them a bad name.

Yes, there was violence, and it was absolutely unacceptable, and I'm glad they arrested 217 or so people. The main difference is that it wasn't incited by Obama, Clinton, or any other high-ranking Democrats.
This time, the potus and many Republicans in Congress incited the violence.

They're investigating now to make arrests, but why were they allowed to leave in the first place without arrest? That's cause for investigation.

Nothing in the last .. 40 years (? Maybe more?) could compare to last Wednesday’s insurrection, mayhem, and violence, preventing democracy from occurring in a federal building. To even attempt to compare is absurd in my opinion.

I really wish people would STOP trying to make any comparisons between what happened last Wednesday and literally ANYTHING from the past. It's jaw dropping IMO.
First, NOBODY condones violence of ANY kind so let's just get the argument out of the way. But if you think for one second that 2017 even remotely compares to the sitting POTUS inciting an insurrection where people stormed the capital with the intent to do harm and overthrow our government then CLEARLY you don't really understand the gravity of the situation. At all.
Furthermore, I am SO tired of people saying "both sides have bad people" because right now, that takes away the focus from the ONE SIDE that caused all of this tension and rioting. It takes the focus away from the ONE SIDE who planned this insurrection and who plan to storm every capital building in the coming days. It takes the focus away from the ONE SIDE including Trump who bears ALL of the responsibility. It takes away the focus from the fact that we have fellow Americans on ONE SIDE who think it is ok to try and overthrow our government because they didn't get their way.
So, no. NO way. This post is SO off base.

There is valid intel from FBI and LE (or do we no longer believe them too?) about credible threats of upcoming armed sieges in all 50 capitols and death threats against Biden, Harris, and Pelosi, including plans of mass execution of Democrats and some Republicans.
This comparison posted shows a sense of being completely out of touch to what is going on. Not attacking you, but just the idea of the post.

The FBI has been the least Trumpy LE agency in the past few years. I think they were loyal to Comey and don't like the way he was treated. So they still have credibility with me and yes, this is scary intel.

I think in some cases “the call is coming from inside the house, ” you know? Like in a horror movie where the bad guys are inside. 10-15 Capitol officers are being investigated for being part of the riot, if not more. A large group of T supporters are LE.

Nothing like this has ever happened in our history. At all.
We've had uprisings, sure. The inception of nation saw its fair share of rebellions - the Shay's rebellion immediately comes to mind.
But nothing on this scale and nothing incited by the sitting President.
Juxtaposition for thought:
George Washington stopped the Newburgh conspiracy with one phrase: "Gentlemen, you will permit me to put on my spectacles, for I have not only grown gray but almost blind in the service of my country."

I am very confused as to who these people are that you speak of? Because I as well as everyone I know talked about last summer's riots and condemned the violence that took place. How could you not talk about it? It was all consuming for weeks on end.
Truly, I don't understand your response. What exactly are you trying to say? See what from a different perspective? There is only ONE way to see the events of last Wednesday, it was an insurrection brought on by the lies and propaganda of the POTUS. That is simple fact. Again, if you cannot see that for what it is or do not see how this is an event unlike any other than you either don't understand history or you're being willfully ignorant.

There is valid intel from FBI and LE (or do we no longer believe them too?) about credible threats of upcoming armed sieges in all 50 capitols and death threats against Biden, Harris, and Pelosi, including plans of mass execution of Democrats and some Republicans.
This comparison posted shows a sense of being completely out of touch to what is going on. Not attacking you, but just the idea of the post.
They also have intel before this and seemed to not prepare. Why was that? If the average person knew, why did they do nothing about it? This is ALL of government, not just the left or right.
I think in some cases “the call is coming from inside the house, ” you know? Like in a horror movie where the bad guys are inside. 10-15 Capitol officers are being investigated for being part of the riot, if not more. A large group of T supporters are LE.
The balls seems to have been dropped as if it was all over facebook as they say, then there is no reason it would not get up that far.
It DID get that far, and the Department of Defense refused to deploy the national guard; they refused to grant Governor Hogan of Maryland permission to send in the Maryland National Guard. DOD refused the request of lawmakers who were calling on the phone during the insurrection begging for assistance because DOD needed the authorization of Trump. Instead of authorization to stop the insurrection, Trump was having fun watching everything unfold on TV. Fox news was calling the insurrectionists patriots, and Trump was getting off on watching people wave a flag with his name on it, and risk their lives for him - because he is a narcissist, and very clearly mentally ill and unfit for the office to which he was elected.
