Jones Beach COVID Testing
Has anyone been tested at Jones Beach?
What typeoif tests do they offer? Rapid? PCR?

it's only PCR testing. they've got a good setup. you have to make an appointment, and you literally do not leave your car. you lower your window when you get swabbed and then youre on your way.
i got tested on saturday and had my results on sunday.
it was so nice not to be in an office or standing on a line.

CVS and Rite Aid also have drive through testing and you can swab yourself. You can make an appointment online for the PCR. I waited outside city MD for 2 hours last week in the freezing cold because I wanted the rapid.

If CVS is like Walgreens, it might be fast doing it through the drive thru but takes days for the results. It is easy doing it this way, the pharmacist walks you on how to do it.
My mom went to Walgreens for the test on Saturday. Apparently they don't send the tests to the lab on weekends. It's now Wednesday and she still doesn't have the results.

Yes...soo easy. DH has been getting tested weekly there in order to visit his mom in a nursing home and it's super easy. He always has he results within 24-48 hours. and is always able to call and make an appointment for the same day or next day.

If you don't mind me asking- where is his mom in a nursing home?
Because DH has not been allowed to visit his dad in the nursing home at all.
Twice over the summer they said they were allowing visits and he got tested and was ready to go and they cancelled both visits due to someone testing positive in the home.
Now they aren't even giving an option to visit.
But he is in a state run nursing home so I am guessing that is why?
Is your MIL in a private nursing home in NY?
