A Teacher - Hulu Series
Has anyone watched the FX-Hulu series "a teacher"?
I binged the first 3 episodes and they release a new ep every tuesday.

Yep -- im watching. I just hate how short the episodes are, and how long I have to wait for the next one!!! So sick!

at first i thought they wanted us to sympathize with her when it was found out. they made it seem balanced and happening naturally etc... but then when she was breaking her own rules and being so forceful and started acting all crazy and enjoying it way to much it def. felt predator-ish and like shes a crazy person. I feel for the kid so much. There are only two episodes left right?!?! $HI!T$ going to get bad fast lol

A Teacher - Hulu Series
The episodes are too short. I feel like it hasn’t been as good the last few episodes. Something is missing but I can’t put my finger on it.

same. this might have been better to binge when you have all the episodes. but they feel disjointed. the last two episodes have been really bad imo (i think because they were slow and only focused mainly on one character and also the destruction/fallout was really glossed over, it skipped like a full year in time you know?).

agree -- it started out really good and has fizzled out. should have been a lifetime movie instead.

I really liked the two episodes that focused on them individually. I do wish they showed what happened in court. Since she turned herself in and plead guilty there wasn't a trial but it would have been nice to see the backlash in the town.

the finale was awful. They skip 10 years and the timeline didn't even fully make sense. Claire gets like the perfect life and seems to still be interested in him now, while now Eric who went back to Claire after she got out of jailed and begged for them to still be together blames her and acts like he was fully a victim and she was so wrong...
the whole thing didn't sit well with me.
There were a couple of endings I was hoping for, but this wasn't one of them.

I agree.
Overall I felt the show was "eh". I think where they failed was with her, I found nothing likeable about her. I almost didn't care if she lost everything and I couldn't see why he was so infatuated with her. She was so dull, had no personality and barely smiled.
The show would have been better served by being an hour long, it needed more development and "meat" each week.
