Election Day...Like 10 min but I’m hearing some others places the lines are super long!

An hour and a half at 6 am, and one of the machines for our district was down...go figure
I keep hearing this from different friends throughout LI, insane!

45 min but scanner was down and we had to fold our ballots and put them in a locked box beneath the scanner. Election board was coming to fix it and scan them in later. Not feeling very confident
Will u get any confirmation that ur ballot was scanned?

I went today, Election Day, around 1:30 p.m. There were no lines. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Will u get any confirmation that ur ballot was scanned?
Not that I know of. The ticket they give you when you walk to the scanner does not have a barcode on it. I called a watchdog group that ask you to report irregularities and they have had several like this in NY.
My son went about an hour later and said someone from the Board of Elections was working on it... but he also was directed to put it in the slot.

where was this?
I saw on a Facebook town group I am in that this happened by me at one location too. Suffolk County

Holtsville, but I hear there has been problems like this in other places in Suffolk.

We went around 7:30 this morning and the lines were wrapped around, no parking. Someone said some of the poll workers were no shows and a machine was down. Then we went back at lunch time and waited about 10 minutes so not bad at all

So glad I didn’t waste hours to do early voting. It was my plan but it just never happened.
