Re: How is everyone voting this year?

Going to my polling place on the 3rd like always.
Not sure how to vote early- is it even an option on Long Island?
I see people in other states who voted- in person- already.

I'm in NC - but I turned in my mail-in ballot (instead of sending it through the mail).

I thought if you go in person in NJ they will make you fill out the paper ballot and it will only be considered provisional?

Idk about provisional but in my county you drop it off at the box or you can go into the office to hand it in. Which is pretty much the same thing. I also don’t have my mail in ballot because I think we threw it out. So that would be another headache for me to go in to get it. I rather just go in person the day of.

Re: How is everyone voting this year?

I am in NJ and already voted. Everyone was mailed a paper ballot. You could mail it, or bring it to a special lock box. We brought it to the lock box and it’s already been received. They will start counting 10 days before Election Day. Rainy day: you can bring your paper ballot to the poll. If you do that on 11/3 that is your real vote. If you don’t bring it on 11/3 then you will be handed a provisional ballot. The state will only count those after they count the other mailed in and lock box ballots to prevent double voting, if you are blind, you can bring your paper ballot to the poll and use an ADA device. There are no mechanical polls this year for NJ.

Awesome. If you go to the state voter website you can track your ballot. It took about a week for mine to be marked received.

We are doing early voting. My son has special needs and asked to vote this year, so I'm trying to avoid long lines with him.

Re: How is everyone voting this year?

DH and I voted at home 2 weeks ago. DH personally delivered the ballots to the County Board of Elections last week where the clerk checked it and accepted them.

My parents voted in Queens by mail since they are old and high risk..they went to the post office to drop off the ballots.

How is everyone voting this year?

I am voting in person on November 3. My vote is so important to me, that with all of the controversy I refuse to have my vote called "Fraudulent" or "NOT VALID". I don't mind waiting. I will wear a mask and make sure I am 6' away from people.
