When did you start drinking coffee?
Got to talking with someone who recently started drinking it in their 40s
I was shocked because I started in high school but was also allowed a cup at a much younger age on the weekends ( I seriously liked the taste!).

When did you start drinking coffee?
I'm a tea drinker. I started when I was probably around 8 yo. I think it was more acceptable for kids to drink tea than coffee. (I may have drank about 15 cups of coffee in my life... and that is only when tea was not available)

In college to be honest. I remember bringing a cup with me in a travel mug to class.
I got off of it for a while too and was drinking tea. I just wasn't feeling it for a while. Then when I got pregnant I remember that I suddenly hated coffee in my first trimester. It was like a pregnancy food aversion for me for the first 3-4 months. After that I was able to drink it again, and my doctor wanted me having a cup a day due to my kidney stones.(caffeine is a good diuretic)
And then my DD was born and I was getting zero sleep and coffee came right back into my life with a vengeance Since then, I haven't stopped.

Also when I got my first cavity - I put a lot of sugar in my coffee. Sigh lol

I started drinking coffee in high school; I'd say either sophomore or junior year. I had had coffee before then, but that's the time when I started drinking it regularly.

Regularly when I started High school, so 13. But I know i would have some here and there before, mainly espresso .

Probably not until my late 20's when I got married bc my husband drinks it a lot. But, I can only drink decaf coffee bc regular gives me the jitters. I drink it much more regularly nowadays bc we have a Keurig and I can make myself a cup whenever I want it.

When did you start drinking coffee?
Started at 28 when I had my DD. I can only have 1 cup a day in the mornjng and it can’t be very strong. It makes me jittery and I feel my heart beat faster a bit. I prefer decaf but my DH won’t drink that.

Much more so in my 30s after having kids.

Same here. It almost annoys me, since I love free stuff, and a lot of places have free coffee.  I[ve tried many things to try and tolerate it, even having 10% coffee and 90% milk....
DD started drinking coffee at 13 or so. DS is 17 and he's never had any.

Senior year of high school I started drinking it regularly.
I have always loved the taste of coffee - my grandparents used to let me have some (with looooots of sugar and milk - now I hate sweetened coffee) when I was super little.

And as much as I do love it, sometimes it really bothers my stomach.
I have a lot of IBS issues and there are days where as much as I'm craving a cup because it's my morning routine/ritual, I know that if I have it it will throw my stomach into a tailspin.

I haven't been able to drink coffee in the morning for at least 5 years now. I have mild IBS. After lunch, I can drink it the rest of the day with no problem, but I need two good meals in me first.

birth... just about.
i'm cuban/dominican. we make "cafe con leche" for wee ones. i didn't introduce my son to it. he's 25 and hates coffee.
as a kid, i would drink cafe con leche or have sips from my parents' espresso. i started to buy my own coffee for myself in my 20s.

I used to take sips from my grandma at a pretty young age - but didn't start really drinking it until my first "real" job - say early 20's.
