The elephant in the room re: Biden

*Not about his politics*
So I was reading the thread about his VP pick & I thought Cool but will he remember tomorrow that he picked her?
Sadly I’m not joking. Has anyone watched any recent interviews with him? Biden I mean. He is so mixed up, stumbles over words constantly & messes up what he means to say, can’t recall obvious things, etc. so much so that it’s clear there’s something very wrong.
Besides the occasional joking comment about him being senile I haven’t heard concern about it...
Which I guess is not surprising because obviously the super liberal MSM isn’t going to call it to light.
I’d say It’s between him & his doctors normally but as the presidential candidate now it’s become everyone’s concern...
Or is the general feeling Who cares because at least he’s not Trump?
So many are mentioning the VP debate but has anyone imagined a Biden-Trump debate? Are dems going to try to stop it from happening because Biden can’t string together a coherent sentence on the fly & will look like a fool for different reasons than we’d predict Trump would?

Everything you wrote can be said for Trump. This is just projecting from FOX news.

Re: The elephant in the room re: Biden

I get what you’re saying but it’s a different kind of incoherence.
Trump says nutty things for sure all the time. Nobody’s denying that!
When Biden speaks or gives interviews recently, he’s unable to remember basic things, mixes things up, stumbles on his words, etc. It’s very noticeable but it seems that it’s hardly mentioned. How can he debate? I do hope he’s been checked medically. I guess we’ll see what happens.

It will never be mentioned anywhere except Fox News sadly.

I watched cnn the other day and they spent a good 20 minutes bashing Trump bc he said the Spanish flu was is 1917 and the ww2 reference. Yet when Biden says over a million people died from covid there was crickets from them. When he says racist things they don’t even mention it.

My favorite was don lemon last night, I gave up trying to hear his opinion on Harris bc all he mentioned was she was a black woman and i just couldn’t waste anymore time trying to hear more about her. That’s all they seem to focus on, she’s a black woman....nothing about accomplishments. I want to learn more about her but it’s buried underneath her skin color and gender. It’s so hard to watch cnn these days.

I’m happy with mine but many aren’t bc there is no remote option. I am surprised there isn’t but I’m not on the committee so I don’t really know the logistics behind it.

How is your post not about politics?

Just admit you are a racist and want to vote for Trump who will do anything to make the white man richer. He is willing to destroy the earth and Americans lives.

Nothing else matters - get rid of Trump.

I would rather vote for my 7 year old than Trump. She is kind and not racist. She also knows it’s wrong for Bezos and corporations to be paying less and less in taxes while millions of people are unemployed and soon to be homeless.

Joe Biden said one million people died and immediately corrected himself in the same sentence. Trump said the pandemic of 1917 ended World War 2 - I haven't seen him say that he misspoke.

And people were talking about Kamala Harris race and gender because it is sadly the FIRST TIME that a woman of color has been on a major party ticket. It is historic so yes people will talk about it on the first day she is chosen. What's wrong with celebrating that a woman of color was chosen for the first time?

There is nothing wrong with it, the way they present it makes it LOOK like they are trying to get votes from women and poc. This woman, who I am currently learning about, probably has so many accomplishments and all cnn talked about last night was her gender and skin color.

I’m currently voting for trump. BUT I was interested to see Biden’s vp pick bc I feel as tho that is who you are really voting for and it could sway me. I’m not a Trump lover by any means but between him and Biden I choose trump. Biden’s vp pick can sway many people like me....but all I got last night is she is a woman of color.

I am looking forward to the first debate. I think it's easy enough to take a 5 second clip from a longer interview and make someone look bad.

If Biden is really as bad as some people think that will come across in a debate.

In my opinion there are two less then ideal candidates running.

That’s why there needs to be a debate.

I literally don't care because at the end of the day the goal is to get Trump the eff outta the WH. As for the debates, have you watched Trump speak at press conferences and on interviews? All he has in his arsenal is insults, lies, jumbled sentences and running off the stage when he's cornered. He is brain dead. He won't make Biden look bad because he'll be his own train wreck.

Also, I have complete confidence in his VP pick of Kamala Harris, I think she will be AMAZING if she needs to step in for Biden. I am sure he will also surround himself with a cabinet full of qualified, intelligent and capable people to run things unlike the clown in the WH who hired his rich a$$hole friends and his bimbo daughter and son-in-law.

This country will be far and away better off with a Biden/Harris win, I hope they sweep this election.

Biden sounds horrible. He was always so articulated, so direct, always a great debater. Watch his debate against Ryan.

Compare that debate and compare it to what will happen when he faces Trump. Are we going to see this Biden from 8 years ago or will we see stumbling Biden? I guess we shall see, will definitely make for must see television when it happens.

I really don't know what to do this year. I can't stand any of the candidates. I honestly hate both of them.

I am disappointed in Biden's "rationale" for VP pick - I feel like he didn't care who it was as long as it was a woman of color. On a superficial level, that doesn't sit well with me. What happened to picking the best person for the job? Or were the only parameters were the best woman of color for the job?

I am hoping to find out more about her in the coming weeks and months so I can make a more educated decision.

And yes, I worry about Biden's mental health. I wish the democrats would have put up a better candidate....

Biden can stand there and sing the ABCs for all I care, he's still better than Trump. Again, Trump can't debate or speak coherently anyway, not like he'll show Biden up. At this point, I feel like everyone knows who they are voting for anyway, the debates are a technicality at best.

A vote for ANYONE other than Biden is a vote for Trump, remember that. Biden will surround himself with the right people, that's ALL that matters. Harris is a great pick and will do a great job especially if Biden becomes incapacitated.

I am not 100% sure Harris is a great pick - I don't know that much about her. I do look forward to learning more about her though, and really do wish I had confidence that Biden will surround himself with the right people. I don't have that kind of confidence in any politician - no matter who they are.

I understand, I have little confidence in politicians regardless of their party affiliation as well. There is no perfect candidate but IMO, Trump has to go. He's systemically tearing apart our Constitution and democracy so I'm willing to take my chances with Biden. I don't think our country will survive 4 more years of Trump.

Why isn't she the best person for the job?
She is more than qualified, incredibly smart, she has a good relationship with Biden (she was good friends with his late son). As a senator she is experienced in legislating. Sounds pretty good to me.

She has way more experience and would be a hell of a better president than the current occupant of the White House.

I didn't say she wasn't the best person for the job. I said his rationale for picking a VP candidate was skewed. He was intent on picking a woman of color for the job. We would all be up in arms if he said he would only pick a white man for the job, wouldn't we?

I said I didn't know much about her. She may very well end up to be the perfect VP candidate. I didn't like that he narrowed the field to only women of color. That is all.

He narrowed the field to only women, not women of color. He was considering several white women as well.

And black women have been the backbone of the democratic party for YEARS. There has never been a woman of color on the ticket. What's the problem with choosing a woman of color? All things being equal there were plenty of qualified women of many races. Why not use this opportunity to move our country forward in terms of what black girls will believe is possible for themselves from now on?

Or is the general feeling Who cares because he’s not Trump?
So many are mentioning the VP debate but has anyone imagined a Biden-Trump debate? Are dems going to try to stop it from happening because Biden can’t string together a coherent sentence on the fly & will look like a fool for different reasons than we’d predict Trump would?

You need to watch more of his interviews if you think she got this from Fox News.

I wonder if anyone who throws out the “Fox News” reference all the time has actually watched them.

Oops now you are a racist too. Welcome to the club. People who don’t know anyone IRL and nothing deep in their lives but like to throw that word around.
