Herman Cain died from COVID-19

I'll start by saying that it's really sad when anyone dies, but he was all over social media.... bragging about not wearing a mask.
Maybe this will be the wake up call that some people need to realize that this isn't a political issue.

When you promote not wearing a mask, and don't social distance, this is what happens. He was already high risk with multiple factors so it's really idiotic of him. Hate to hear anyone has died of it, but it was his own choice.

All the more reason for him to follow the guidelines. He made his choices and thought he knew better.

i saw a headline about this, today. wondering if this is turning point for the GOP.
good, bad, or indifferent: people have made their decisions. i doubt there is much that will change anyone's opinion in the pandemic.

I honestly think that anyone who still supports Trump is basically in a cult-like mindset that cannot be changed. Note that I do not think this of all Republicans - there are logical policy based reasons to support Republican Party that aren’t insane (I might disagree but respect the benefit of different opinions). However Trump specifically has no platform or policy. The not wearing a mask as a sign of some kind of freedom opinion is just ludicrous and insane.
Maybe the people who aren’t completely brainwashed will realize its possible to still be republican and wear a mask. There is no reason for this to be a political issue. It’s a very simple sacrifice for the greater good and could quite possibly save your own life.
But to answer your question, no I don’t think this will be a wake up call. I honestly think some people are bought into Trumps crazy and unwilling/unable to admit they are/were wrong.
