Need to be alone!!!
Turning 40 soon and haven’t had a moment to myself since quarantine started. would love one night getaway. Maybe alone, maybe with my sister. I want to relax and swim and drink. Any ideas that aren’t 800 a night ?

The Roxbury in the Catskills! LOVE it there!! So quirky and cool! They have a great little pool by appointment only (with drink service) a hot tub that you can have an appointment in ALONE (they clean and sanitize in between individual appointments), and their rooms are so fun. I recommend the Stratton Falls side, since it's brand new. I stayed in the ghost room, and it was only $150 a night. And immaculate! Every single inch was sanitized, and the toiletries are all bagged and sealed with a sanitized sticker, including the hair dryer. They have free breakfast, and a nice hiking trail with a waterfall on the property.

i get it!!!! we had to cancel my kid-free 40th birthday trip in June- i was SO bummed!!! i just need to get away from these kids- because next school year isn't looking good either! 
ANYWAY- maybe Crystal Springs in NJ?

Yeah, I stopped at Mohegan on the way home from Newport last month. I was impressed with the sheer amount of tubs of wipes next to machines and sanitizer. It should have always been that way IMO
Also as a side note, Travelzoo currently has a $119 special for Mohegan rooms. I just got an email like 5 minutes ago.

I agree. I used to skeeve that place only because the casino just always seemed a breeding ground for filth.
Why did it take some new virus for us to try to have some basic sanitation?
This is why whenever you pass by City MD it's packed.
I joke with my husband that if we had money to invest, the best bet would be a City MD or other walk in. They will NEVER go out of business. Everyone is sick constantly.
I wonder why?
Because prior to this, nobody used hand sanitizer, washed their hands, wiped stuff down or kept their immune system in check.

Exactly. I won’t use hand sanitizer but I wash constantly, always have and eat at almost same times everyday and try not to let myself get run down. Now if I am exhausted I will say, I am done and mean it.

Yes, the hotels are open.
Ive never been to the casinos. While it is not on the boardwalk, I really just love the Borgata and only go for the Spa, then will spend a day at the boardwalk and go to the outlets another day. lol
I will walk the boardwalk from the Glass hotel to the beginning if i could. Also love the beach there.
eta: Yes there are many hotels. Harrahs is ok, it has a small boardwalk bayfront. Ballys is ok too I guess and if I do stay there I will stay in the newer dennis tower facing the beach by that restaurant downstairs. It is one of the many hotels directly on the boardwalk.

soooo expensive.... but looks amazing...
I was quoted about $550 a night in the middle of the week...
