Law Enforcement being killed, shot, stabbed and beaten

What is this proving? It’s like hitting a stranger because someone else smacked you in the face. Again, it’s the opportunists taking advantage and it will be blamed on the innocent.

It is OUTRAGEOUS what is happening out there every night. There are no words.

My heart goes out to all LEOs and their Families. I couldn’t imagine the fear when watching them leave your home for their tours.

I have no words for what's happening to these innocent officers.

I pray for family and friends every day that they make it back home to their families.

No outrage at the officers who are inciting violence themselves?

Can't there be outrage for both?

There should be, I just was wondering why they only started a post worrying about the police.

She didn’t say that at all. This is twisting someone words. This is a tense time in our country. We are at war with ourselves. I come from a family cops. Both white and black officers. Scary time to be a police officer. I see many police doing good things. The police were walking with the demonstrators Last night In Merrick. They don’t deserve this either. This is a sad state of affairs across the world right now. I don’t believe in violence as the answer...

Because that was what this post was about.
There are other threads about outrage over other things.
Why does every outrage have to be posted on one thread?

Exactly. Most people are good. There are bad people in every profession, community, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, faith, on and on and on. If you judged an entire group of people by the few bad apples we'd all be locked in our basement hiding in fear.

Yes, it's absolutely terrible and not doing anything to solve the problem. But when someone commits this kind of act aren't they arrested and quickly prosecuted assuming they are identified? I think where people are upset is that when a LEO commits an act of unnecessary and excessive force, it often goes unpunished. I'm not saying force is never necessary and LE is not put into terrible and dangerous situations that they need leeway to handle. IDK, I don't want to offend anyone on either "side" of the issue but I understand the need for change. Again, I don't think any acts of violence are the way to achieve that.

That is horrible!

I agree that she has posted her outrage on other threads.

There are a couple of other people I'd call out for something like that but not the OP.

No LEO has been killed, unless you have a source I haven't seen? Not being snarky.

David Dorn, federal Marshall in Las Vegas, and an fbi agent in Oakland are 3 I have heard of. The list of officers injured is huge, just heart breaking.

I completely agree! I am so sick of people feeling that if you support one it automatically means you can't support the other. It makes me INSANE! I can and do think the death of George Floyd is an outrage and part of a bigger problem AND I support the vast majority of police officers who took this dangerous job to protect and serve all ALL. I can also support peaceful PROTESTORS and find looters and rioters disgusting! Big difference. We need to stop twisting people's words and assuming things about them. This type of statement is like as if I posted about supporting someone with cancer and someone saying, what, you don't care about people with heart disease? I'm so tired of the hate!!! Sorry, I know I went off on a tangent but needed to get that out.

I worry for my family and friends in the NYPD and other law enforcement agencies.

I wouldn't blame one of them for resigning.

It's just like people who think saying black lives matter means you don't think all lives matter or that they matter than white, LGBTQ, blue (or fill in the blank to forward your agenda) lives...

This!

I come from a police family / literally everyone in my immediate family is either in law enforcement or married to someone in law enforcement or their in laws are in law enforcement. My brother sent a text yesterday with a video and I replied back that Floyd was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Suddenly, I am anti police because I think peaceful protesting is warranted.

I can’t take it! People can support black lives matter and the police simultaneously.
