Kelly Ripa Broadcasting from the Carribean?
I don't know if anyone watches Kelly and Ryan in the morning but I just found out last week that she and her family decided to stay in the caribbean when this all started. While she has every choice to quarantine anywhere where she chooses, I find it odd she has never mentioned it. I, and many others I have heard from thought she was in their NYC home and some thought LI.
She is absolutely paranoid and says she has not left her place. Sounds quite odd when it is no where as bad in these caribbean islands.

I've been reading about this and really don't understand the anger.
I did think she was at her house on L.I. which so many people were against anyway. They didn't want city people out there while this was going on. So if he was on LI, people would be pissed. She's in the Caribbean and people are pissed. They only way she could win is if she stayed in NYC.
Plenty of people haven't left their place.
What does it matter to anyone that she may be paranoid. How is it bothering anyone what she does? She is doing what is best for her family which is what everyone is doing.
She's just lucky enough to do it in The Caribbean. Where I would be if I could

I think because she seems to have tried to fool people where she is at and not just come out in the beginning and say just like everyone else has. She even asks people everyday where they are and who they are quarantining with.
I wonder if in the beginning when she said she wasn't talking to 2 out of her 3 kids for a bit that if they were angry they got stuck there (kids don't appreciate being in paradise lol).

interesting.
i think that part that would peeve me is that part of not being transparent.
yes, it's her life and her family. she has every single right to do what she and mark think is right... but to act like she's doing something else feels no-so-wonderful.
from what i've seen in social media and regular media... if i could pick any place in the world to be in lockdown, i'd be with Sissy's daughter in alaska. i'm still hoping and praying and lighting candles that they adopt me.

Ok maybe I should've said Alaska
All kidding aside if I had a real choice I would loved to be out there with the family.
As for Kelly Ripa I can't fault her for her choices. I don't recall her saying she was in NY, I just assumed she was.

I don't understand why on earth she would have an obligation to tell people where she was. She has a right to her privacy. People think that celebrities are their friends. She's a morning show TV host. You don't have a right to know where she lives, who she's friends with, where she likes to eat etc. because she hosts a TV show. She's not your friend.

Not according to her, they choose to stay there:
“We had planned a trip for our family, and it was supposed to be our entire family of course,” Ripa said at the town hall, per People. “And we arrive and three days later, the entire world changed, really. I mean, everything shut down; the government shut down; our country shut down. I hate to use the word stuck, but we were. We decided to stay where we were.”

I don't think people are "outraged" but as an everyday viewer, people have questioned why she just couldn't say it from the beginning. She interviews people and asks where they are and who they are quarantining with. I have seen in the last few days when they mention things she looks like she gets very nervous. No clue why either as I would just come out and tell my story too.
I think she has many issues though and wonder if she hasn't spoken about many as she keeps saying how she has not left her house from the beginning. Not sure if she has a medical condition and afraid to or she is just an overly anxious person.

My guess is she thought she'd catch flack for being there for one reason or another. As much as I love the Caribbean, that's one of the last places I'd want to risk becoming seriously ill.

Very true. I wouldn't mind be quarantined in Florida or Hawaii. But I'd want to be in the US for the hospitals.
As beautiful as the Caribbean is, I would worry about needing a hospital.
Maybe that is why she is so paranoid about the virus down there and doesn't want to leave her place.

I think the "flack" she received was b/c she was acting like she was hunkering down in NYC, the hardest hit area of the country. She was playing it off like she was in the thick of it, when she wasn't even close.

Yes I think so too and now it is out, she seems very uncomfortable on the air.
I would be worried too about getting it in a different country so that could have been one part of why she did not say a thing.
She has been very snarky this week though it seems. She is out of the country and all this is happening and she just seemed a little off today.

While I generally agree with this, I'm pretty sure Kelly Ripa has the means to get a private jet out of whatever island she's on and get to a reputable hospital.
As an aside, she drives me crazy

Yes. Wasn’t she talking at one point about how she’s not ordering makeup now and saving a ton and using her daughter’s (and laughed about glitter eyeshadow or whatever)? I remember thinking oh wow, you can’t order makeup? But just brushing it off as whatever. She never mentioned how she was on a vacation.

Yep and how they have all their food delivered and no one goes out. How she couldn't get more spray for her hair which made no sense to me because I can get it anyplace. Now I see why. They probably don't sell it wherever she is at, even though I am sure Ryan or Gelman can send her some.
