bringing back things we love
The other day when it started to rain, Petrichor the earthy scent produced when rain hits dry soil.
LOVE IT!!!
My mourning dove pair on their 3rd clutch for the season ( will be their 5-6 baby )all happening on the beam of the porch. They have changing of the guards at 4:15 daily
I am a winter girl but enjoying the longer days.
Having coffee on the porch/deck in the AM
I am looking forward to flip flops.
Who will be next.... to share

Opening my pool soon.
Once it's a warm/sunny weekend hitting the beach.
I've been taking my laptop out in the yard to work outside every day so that's a nice change from being cooped up.
Love the longer days
Looking forward to the day outdoor restaurants are able to open

Our new house is backed up to 30 acres of preserved woodlands so it feels like you're in a state park when you're outside. With things being so stressful these last few weeks I am REALLY loving going outside on the deck, putting my feet up with a cool drink or cup of tea and just looking out into the woods while listening to the rustle of the leaves, the birds chirping, the chipmunks scurrying and the deer scampering. It's so peaceful and I feel like it gives me a mental reset.
I am enjoying taking my time in the morning instead of the hustle and bustle of getting the kids ready for school.
I've always loved to cook (hence my food blog) but the last few weeks have given me more time to try out all kinds of new recipes. I am really enjoying that, cooking is my therapy.
I am also looking forward to fall because my hope is things look a lot more normal by then. I can't wait for crisp, cool days, comfy sweaters, pumpkin picking with the kids, the holidays and hopefully being able to see more of my family and friends. I am really trying to stay hopeful for the future and the end of the year.

I love that too! I never knew that smell had a name until recently.

not related to weather/time of year...
* but since my son's schedule changed, i get to see him at least twice a week. yes, it's at work and i don't treat him any different than anyone else (although it's a bit tough)... i love being able to see his face regularly.
* i recently got my knitting mojo back. i'm enjoying going through my yarn stash and coming up with projects. i'll be making two baby boy sweaters.
weather related:
* i'm loving that it's warm enough overnight that i can sleep with the windows open a bit

1. The smell of summer and the sun hitting my face. I have been sitting on my terrace and its beautiful. Give me all the Vitamin D!!
2. We had lunch on the beach last week and it was awesome. Nothing like a sandy Tuna Sadwich, hard boiled eggs and chips on the beach.
Things I can wait to come back
3. Pedicures and Flip Flops
4. BBQs and Family Functions
5. Taking a vacation or Trip. This is the longest we have travelled, which is great for my bank account but bad for our soul.

I love that too! I never knew that smell had a name until recently.
My favorite! It brings me so many good childhood memories!!! And then playing in the rain! 
Def bbqs, and the warm weather although I don’t love 90’s temperatures! We’re installing a pool so that’s something we’re looking forward to! We’re also taking a road trip to SC, and then a few weeks later to FL, that should be exciting as well.

Having BBQ's with people over.
Getting a pedicure
going to a restaurant and sitting down and eating it there.
Hopefully get out this summer if hotels open.
