Omg Kingklang... this is a freaking joke. Wth is wrong with you. It’s not even about moms complaining. Maybe my family/friends are weird but NOT only MOMs found this funny. Like I said this was shared to me by a person who doesn’t have kids and is a teacher.
And when I originally wrote - “if We don’t laugh we’ll cry”... I meant every single one not just parents. This was suppose to make people smile and you are seriously jumping off the deep end. You’re starting to sound very off and it’s concerning.

That’s why I’m not quoting. But she’s a teacher, so you would think she could appreciate the part where the mom is on the phone crying to the teacher. No? Yikes, I really didn’t think this could be interpreted as drama or offensive 
ETA: when I saw the first post, I clicked on the link to see if the video changed. Because I didn’t understand the response, I thought she saw a different video.

Sorry, but I don’t think it sounds off. It gets really annoying that people complain that they have to homeschool and they are with their kids all day, etc. Or complaints about how teachers should be laid off and people don’t want to pay school taxes. There may be some people on these boards who can’t have kids and this is just an annoying reminder. I’m not one of those people, but I don’t have kids by choice. This used to be the Not Family Related board. It now has tons of things about kids. Doesn’t anybody have anything to talk about besides their kids? Another board I’m on puts an @ symbol in the title, so you know.
And I don’t hate anything.

I want to start by saying I love my kid and I love my life. Even if I knew there was a pandemic coming I would still have made the decision to have her. That said.... people can't joke about frustrations in their current situation that are so completely far from the norm??
No, I did not ever realize I would have to work from home, while my husband did as well, while also having my 2 1/2 year old home all day long with literally no place but our backyard to go for over 2 months already with no other human contact. That doesn't mean I'm complaining about having a kid, but clearly this is a less than ideal situation for all involved, and obviously took some time getting used to. I don't post a lot but this is a completely ridiculous and unempathetic argument.
Fine, joke about it. But some are really serious about this. It isn’t insensitive at all. I’m really tired of hearing how parents are annoyed by their kids. You made the decision to have them. Now deal with it.
Just because I am "dealing" with it doesn't mean I can't be frustrated.
Why are you so hostile to parents? Honestly - you never get frustrated with anything in your life? No ones life is perfect - we all are allowed to vent and be frustrated.
Not hostile at all. And, yes, I get frustrated. Shame you can’t see that I’m frustrated by hearing parents complain. Take your own advice.

Seriously, maybe we get frustrated when you post about your weird relationship issues? Every time you post some weird issue, most of us try to be supportive and give advice. Advice that you don't take because you (for whatever reason) think it's perfectly normal for a man to disappear to his mothers house all the time, keep a house you're not really allowed to go to, but he won't get rid of, I could go on and on. You vent and ask for advice a lot. I don't recall anyone ever being nasty to you about it.
Maybe we should have said mean things to you while you were going through a hard time with your divorce. What if our responses were "You shouldn't have gotten married if you were just going to get divorced" "You should have thought that through before getting married". We get it, you don't approve of us complaining. It doesn't mean we hate our kids. It means that sometimes it's hard. If you're going to be bitter about a few parents venting, then don't open up threads that are directed towards moms or parents.
You seem to know more about my life than I do! A lot of it isn’t even correct.

During this scary time that no one ever expected or was prepared for, everyone has SOMETHING in their life that has been thrown out of whack that they need to vent once in a while about to get it off their chest. I recall a post from you about how you live in an apartment and were upset that you cant get outside to enjoy some fresh air because of too many people walking around. You know what I thought when I read that. I felt bad for you. You know what I did NOT think when I read that? I did not think, "well, didn't you think about every single possibility that could happen when you chose your apartment? Didnt it ever occur to you that their might be a global pandemic and you might be stuck in your apartment for months? Why didn't you just plan ahead and get a house with a yard?". I never thought that and I'm sure no one else did either. But if anyone were to think or say that, it would be just as ridiculous as telling parents that they should have thought about the possibility that they might suddenly have to not only homeschool their kids for months, but have to do it using technology they are unfamiliar with, while also fearing a deadly illness and not being able to get all the food or supplies they need to properly care for their kids, while also working from home or possibly losing income if they cant work from home. This is all scary shit. We know you're very scared because you've posted about several times. I don't remember ANYONE telling you to stop complaining. It's called having empathy for our fellow humans, even if our situation or path in life is different.

Did you watch the same video? There is no teacher hate in it, at all. This was sent to me by a teacher. This video doesn’t feed into the hate at all. Please stop perpetuating that, I have never hated on teachers. You really should stop.

At the end of the video it shows a mom calling her childs teacher and thanking her and telling her she loves her and what an amazing teacher she is. This video was NOT about teacher hate. It was about frustration with things that are happening because of this pandemic, which everyone should be able to relate to whether they have kids or not.

this video is funny.
i love my kids but I can admit they are assholess sometimes just like all humans can be.
Yes i knew having kids wouldnt be roses and sunshine all the time cause I was a kid and I certainly was not roses and sunshine at all times!!
Also guess what i dont want to teach my kids its a choice I made and yes I expect my kids to be taught by teachers even during a pandemic and yes there are many many wonderful teachers but you know what there are some teachers that suck. just like every profession out there
From this post I can tell your an assholes and I am sure at one time or another your own parents thought you were one too. lighten up!

First of all, this video is so funny. I was in tears!!! The woman on the bathroom floor, drinking wine and eating halloween candy is me.
Second, the video is posted on a page called "Bored Teachers" so I highly doubt any teacher finds this offensive.
Third, Kilingklang, you sound completely off your rocker. Get off your high horse. This board has turned into a free for all. When you post relationship problems no one tells you to go post it on relationships because you might be upsetting someone that is single. You need to let your boyfriend come back home and you need to get laid.

Because while you may be (theoretically) doing a good job (questionable, with your obvious lack of empathy), there is a vast majority of teachers in the US (where this website is based), who are paid a VERY decent salary and are currently doing a sh*tty job. For individuals who have at LEAST a masters degree, there is zero excuse after over two months for them to not be doing better. And when people live in areas where they pay tens of thousands of dollars a year in property taxes BECAUSE of the schools, it’s unacceptable.

The site is LIFamilies. She is on a Long Island based FAMILY site when she lives overseas (and hates the USA). She is a single woman (as in not married) with no kids. Why is she here? Any chance she gets, she is a nasty to people. If you don't agree with her, there is a 100% chance she will call you ignorant or racist. She acts like she is the only educated person here. I can see why her "boyfriend" spends as little time as possible with her.

First off the video is harmless. There isn't a single thing in it that criticizes teachers.
Klingklang, you can't empathize even a little bit with someone who is trying to put in their all with working from home, struggling to meet deadlines so they can get their job done, putting in their all with trying to teach their kids even though they themselves are not equipped to teach (you've said that yourself a number of times about parents who homeschool being unqualified) and advocating for their kids to get the services they need, all while trying to hold on to the roof over their head before it blows away??
Because someone is unhappy with the way things are going in the midst of a pandemic they shouldn't have had kids?? Where is your logic??
What kind of teacher can you possibly be if you lack empathy, caring for your fellow man? Not much of one it sounds like. I feel bad for your students. You complain about people posting about their kids on the families helping families board. There's a childfree board you can use. You don't like people making comments about your fb posts, but you think you can police people's posts here. From the beginning you've made it your mission to be condescending and undermine people's experiences through all this. When someone posted about their child's inadequate university experience you told them they were wrong. The more they explained the more you doubled down. How can you possibly know if their child is receiving busy work or meaningful work?? Please enlighten us. You seem to know better than everyone else.

I thought it was very funny. I particularly found the “haven’t you been on the tablet long enough. Don’t you think you should watch TV or a show” part funny because I say things like that ALL THE TIME. Lol

I’m not a mom (unfortunately) nor am I a teacher but I laughed out loud at this video. I am working f/t remotely and I feel like this every day!!
I don’t think you need kids to appreciate the humor in it nor do you need to be a teacher.
I do take issue with one thing though: the board is families helping families. My DH and I are a family even though we were never able to have a child

I think that everyone is welcome here even regardless of "family" status - married, divorced, single, with kids, without... who cares? I don't like the implication that someone shouldn't post on here because they don't have children or a spouse. However, I also don't think we need the very judgmental comments criticizing how we parent from someone that doesn't even have children of their own. It's just so uncalled for.

This. Anybody can post here. Klingklang has a problem with people posting about homeschooling their kids on this board. She has a problem with people saying their college aged kids aren't being challenged. She thinks if people have any complaints whatsoever about distance learning that it means they're bashing teachers (they're not). She's also repeatedly  that if parents didn't plan for a global pandemic they shouldn't have had kids.

1st - I consider a married couple a family even if they don't have kids.
2nd - I don't care who posts here.
The only reason I take issue with the other poster is that she is condescending and nasty (she always has been, but even more so lately). She is just vile and wants to insult parents and anyone who isn't currently working as a teacher. Actually it isn't just those topics, if you disagree with her about anything, it means your ignorant and uneducated. If she can't insult what you're saying, she'll insult how you say it.
This is a place where we're going to talk about our children and families. She has a problem with those topics.
I vented a couple weeks ago about the amount of work my kid is getting and she took it as an opportunity to say I shouldn't have had kids then. She's not rational and it's about time someone has called her out for her nastiness.
She is almost always involved with the nasty hate filled posts that cause other people to leave this site. She should be the one to leave.
