Jerry Stiller passed away
With this whole pandemic....
I have been watching the King Of Queens and Arthur Spooner was my favorite.
I had never seen it before and I LOVE IT. Just sad to hear he passed
I feel like he was a part of my family.

I just read that now.
I LOVED him on King of Queens.
He was perfection in that role.
And if you watch him on Seinfeld, he played a very similar character. Always yelling and screaming etc
But he'll always be Arthur Spooner to me.

Yes!! I remember him on Seinfeld. There was just something about him being on king of queens.
I was hoping they would do a reboot!

His wife plays Spence’s mom on the show. They were married for 65 years!
Definitely a loss to the comedy world.

This is so sad. Just yesterday I was reminiscing with DH his funniest moments as Arthur Spooner. When he made the mannequin for Carrie to take on the subway for protection and the way he would treat Spence's mom who was played by his real life wife, when Carrie thought she was pregnant and he screamed "has he been touching you?!" 
The man had a true gift! May he RIP. He can join Anne now

The one I laugh so hard at is when he is studying to become a Notary and he has to "practice" so he asks Carrie to sign a fake document. He's being all particular about it- he has to watch her closely as she signs it, etc. Then just as she goes to sign it he hears a dog bark and looks out the window and when he turns back she's done signing it and he is like OH MY GOD I MISSED IT!

When Doug realizes he can get Carrie to do anything if he just convinces Arthur to ask for it so he doesn't have to be on a diet, and Arthur screams "I want you to have sex with Doug!"
Doug: weren't you stationed in Italy during the war, that must've really been something, the art, the pizza...
Arthur: the hookers weren't too shabby either

I wish I remembered the main topic of the episode or the title because this was a side story line but you have to find it- you can imagine by the way he gets so enraged and emotional everything just how funny his reaction was!

And they were big on family members having small parts. Kevin James' wife played Carrie's nail girl and also a bartender at Cooper's.
Leah Remini's husband played the doctor who took out Doug's appendix, a construction worker, and the boyfriend of the girl who kept leaving messages for Doug thinking he was another Doug Heffernin.
LOL
I watch way too much of this show!

Jerry Stiller passed away
There is an episode where carrie has to work over nights and Doug can't sleep so him and arthur start sleeping together...
So Arthur, Doug and deacon are sitting at the breakfast table.
Arthur tells doug he wasn't going to be home and doug starts telling him how he is going to take him to a steak dinner and how he can't break their plans. You can totally tell Jerry is totally breaking character and just starts laughing but he keeps going. It's just a great moment. My husband and I rewound that scene and watched it over and over.
I also love when Carrie learns to pole dance. That music, Doug's face. Arthur yelling in the basement "MAKE IT STOP"
What a great show.

We watch King of Queens reruns, and we watched it the first time around. The show is STILL funny! We laugh every night. RIP Jerry Stiller.
