Do you trust take out?

We have been really good about quarentine. I'm not looking for an award or anything. LOL
My DH is just driving me crazy.
He's always thinking ahead so we are good with food and getting orders from Costco and Wegmans (our local supermarket).
I work from home anyway so that doesn't make a difference.

So I am getting tired of cooking every-single-night. He'll grill too and help, but we are people that usually go out all weekend or order in.
I see tons of people getting from local restaurants. I would love to support them and just get a pie, but is there still that worry?

Do you trust take out?

We have been getting takeout. We take food out of the to-go packaging ASAP.

Do you trust take out?

I trust our usual places. The CDC recommended taking it out of the original packaging and washing your hands, so that's what we have been doing.

we've done drive thru and delivery.
as others have said... take it out of the containers asap and wash your hands.
so far, no issues here.

ps. SO and his son are both very picky about people touching their stuff on a good day, and they've both been fine with it.

We got take out once from one of our usual places and it wasn’t prepped how it usually was. Everything looked like it was thrown together. My DH was disappointed with it as well. I was so nervous to order to begin with and we haven’t ordered anything since. I’m not really comfortable with trusting other people to prepare my food right now.

Yes. The amount of money spent on takeout has been crazy. We have been trying to support small businesses!

not that I dont trust, but I dont know who is coughing near my food, washing hand etc. This is an issues outside of corona but in my mind more so now. I have not gotten take out in weeks or a month

Yes - we've gotten take out a few times since this started 2 weeks ago. DH is still working and I'm working from home/dealing with the kids so it's been a nice treat!

We have but less often. Like once a week to help out with all the work of cooking and cleaning. We also want to support local places. We used to buy lunch everyday at work and my son was fed at school and we would do take out or restaurant prob twice for dinner So now making all this food from home is honestly too tiring.

I admit there is a risk but so is receiving a package and going grocery shopping. I feel like I at least need this occasionally to combat the mental burden to be honest.

Yes. We are ordering in pizza tonight. We have cooked every night the last 10 days, I am done.

Yes, I have. I take it out of their containers and put it on my own plates and then I re-heat everything. Half the time it needs to be re-heated anyway. I have been avoiding salads and things that can't be heated.

Yes, hot food only and we re-plate it.

Yes. Less than before, but we want to take advantage before some restaurants we like have to close, and also to support them.

I’ve only ordered pizza.
It makes me a little nervous but a family friend owns a pizzeria and I want to support them

No, my husband is immunocomprimised, so will not take the risk.

We have here a d there but dramatically cut back. We still try to help out some of the local businesses

Yes. Using mostly local places to help them stay in business.

Only ordered once in the past 3 weeks. We ordered pizza and then reheated it in our oven before we ate it to kill any germs.

If your ordering groceries, its basically the same thing as take out. Some one is handling all your food and before that someone else put all your food on the shelf. So if your not worried about that then shouldn't be worried about take out. We order take out once a week to help support our favs.

We've gotten takeout once and McDs once. I do the same as many of you - I take it out of the packaging (wash my hands!) and "reheat" it. I also won't order anything cold like a salad.

Yes we still do take out. I even ate Chinese before they sadly closed due to ignorant people.

I probably have the wrong take on this but I think most of us are going to get this sooner or later and I don't mind getting it over with. We're all at home, none of us are high risk, we're not seeing any elderly family members for a LONG time. I'm not super paranoid about picking it up.
